I,m in pub most days ( my office ). When i was a kennelhand we always celebrated our big race wins. I did anyway. I try not to av many bad days punting. Wen i do i go to the pub.
I wouldn,t be as dedicated as some of the young lads that do it for a living these days. I tip my hat to them. I cant sit an do a 14 or 15 race card these days. I dont have the patience. I av met a few who bought there houses n bit o land threw betting dogs. These lads are gods imo. Hope to c a few soon for few beers. I only bin doing it 5 yrs n i dont bet big enough or dont bet enough winners to buy houses. Fair play to them. I might have 4 5 6 bets a week. I watched darrens video tuesday. Good luck to him. |

Anyone who back back 9/4 pokes at 5/1 and bigger is doing it right. Just gotta get on.
|
By:
Not really Kinky, forgotten the hard part... The dog winning! A 5/1 slip not much use if don't cross the line infront.
|
By:
Agreed with one thing, most of your "better bets" will be losers.
|
By:
holding slips at 5/1, 9/4 pokes.
3 slips would go in the bin and the other passed over the counter for payment |
By:
multi bets just kill accounts you may just get one multi bet on and account closed on the high st pads and freds 1 pound lucky 15 anything over that amount will be rang up if you go for a 3 pound lucky 15 it will be rang over and you will be very lucky to get on and prices be cut
|

czechbet is the best judge in the country bar none. keith would not get near.

I got nice few quid out a skybet account earlier in year doc.all singles had a lucky 15 for £8 £120 bet. Had it up account closed. Got 2 decent skybet just now. Dont av multis on them. I can normally get on wot i want btwn 2 accounts.

Paint i know him reasonably well. I would call him a friend. Chatted few times we bin in company together. His words to me were he knows lads that are as good if not better than him. His edge is he,s a very good gambler. Fascinates me talking to him. Great lad.
|
By:
agree ph. spoke to him few times a good character. wot makes me say e is the best is because these pro punters are betting ricks only. any one can do that.... czech does not need false prices to win and now thats a skill and wot i call a professional. i admit i cannot do wot e does
|
By:
Same as u paint. Nothing but admiration for him. Met him threw forum. P.f patrick starr met eyeball last year fattie. All great charachters.

takethepaintoftherails do you know darren keefe if not you should not be making statements like that
|
By:
being a judge really is fck all and it should not be anyone's sole focus, i know good judges who are potless almost a curse as they are such poor punters.
how much you win long term and how you get it etc now that's interesting and all that matters to me. anyone who has spoke to me like PH etc knows i would take zero pride in being called a judge almost an insult. Im just a clever **** who wins chunks out the game leave it at that never met Darren and from what i saw he says most things spot on about how you have to be mentally, bar he looked up to harry findlay omg gl all |
By:
judges are for the old bailey i take my hat off to anymore who makes it pay it don't matter if they win 200 or 500,000 over the year they are not losing. people i disagree with are the people who think they are billy big bo llocks and would not give you a hello seen plenty of them over the years that have hit the ground with a bump and disappeared just remember when your dead these people won't be coming to your graveside so worry about yourself and your family and no one else

|
By:

|

fair play to anyone who can beat the pre-race markets on 40% commission and still make it pay, must have been a sickener when he got caught trying to avoid the premium charge and Betfair taking away 24k I would have many sleepless nights
|
By:
must have been a sickener when he got caught trying to avoid the premium charge
it liked being mugged without the voilence |
By:
Forty per cent premium charge, and still in profit, he must be a genius.
|
By:
he is
|
By:
It leads to a major "adjustment" in your thinking, that's all.... and it's important to not lose sight of how you got to be on Premium charge If you can make money consistently to get you to the Premium charge then you can continue to make money
I've kept the same real term profitability using the same methods at the same winning % ... but what you have to make adjustments to is your ROI The ROI part effects your staking % ... that's when it's important that your are knowledgeable about gambling theory and probability ratios AS WELL as being a good judge or having a consistent methodology What i'd disagree with in the video is Darren's belief that he naturally has an instinct. "Instinct" comes from hard work, long hours and experience |
By:
think he is referring to being at a young age knowing all the times at all tracks.
now and again when discuusing a card , he would say, the four must be a runner on its times in ireland |
By:
I should probably clarify that last bit ...
"What i'd disagree with in the video is Darren's belief that he naturally has an instinct. "Instinct" comes from hard work, long hours and experience" and change it to "What i'd disagree with in the video is Darren's belief that he naturally has an instinct. "Instinct" comes from hard work, long hours and experience - all of which Darren has done" |

Woody.. the only pounds you have gained are on your belly,,,
|
By:
know darren from a young lad. decent judge yes. nothing more.hard working massively.forty per cent and still winning? that is whats called bollocks talk.
|
By:
Superjudge.....I was thinking the same myself about winning in excess of the 40%.
|
By:
the interview parts 2&3 certainly tailed off a bit wonky...
What is actually the point of them? to promote gambling or greyhound racing? Unless getting 5 bags a pop whats the point of appearing? other than an needed ego boost which shows weakness |
By:
agree czech absolutely pointess.
|
By:
Didnt really tell me anything I didnt already know and possibly dont follow the racing as much as people on here.
Only interesting bit for me is protocol for a losing run. He did allude to the fact somewhere he took a day off...but mainly "work even harder to find winners"...each to their own but does "working harder to find them" percentage wise bring people more success on here? Certainly not me, i end up trying to get angles that aren't actually there. Not that there is an easy solution either but if you get a decent size interview like that a logical question surely is: Where do you see the game going in the next few years? |
By:
SJ / Sparrow ...
When you kop for the 40% it's 40% of your overall profit ... you can still operate at 10%, for example, profit on your actual betting - then the 40% is deducted weekly out of any profit. Sorry if i'm teaching my Grandma to suck eggs etc .. but you are making it sound as if you need to make 40% profit |
By:
.... which is where i would question him on the video where he says the 40% makes a 10/1 winner a 6/1 winner ... it obviously doesn't
|
By:
what a load of absolute shoit,,, only watched 3 minutes ,,and i already know hes a mug punter, hes sitting talking about trixies and lucky 15s,, hes a loser .
|
By:
pro punters dont bet lucky 15s,, ffs
|
