Had a go at King Jaffa just before the line (my opinion) in the semi final although others say it was just after the line. He is a red card waiting to happen.

From reading other forums one of the main complaints seems to be that Charlie wants all other dodges given a red card (how true i don't know) but when asked about Taylors Cruise the last 2 weeks by Daryl he didn't want to know.
Report queens circle May 28, 2012 1:22 PM BST
dont know if you know fattie but he is an obe which is deserved.
if freds champ had have done that to taylors cruise he would have wanted it to have been red carded. but as i say 'lister dogs' dont turn there head do they.

Watched the interview with Lister last night - excruciating to say the least.

Something like "Yes it was a bit unfortunate but I think the heat got to him - I can only thank the stewards for giving us the benefit of the doubt."

The dog should have been disqualified - end of story.

It sounded like the heat had got to Steve Taylor as well - answering every question with I love Charlie, Charlie is the greatest, Taylors Sky is the greatest, Charlie is the greatest, plus Mrs Taylor seemed desperate to get in the picture as well, nearly broadsiding the cameraman.

Alltogether a pretty unedifying spectacle.

In defense of Charlie, just think he doesnt suffer fools gladly. Wouldnt you be disappointed if a top class dog of yours went wayward. He's just defending his dogs hoping its a one-off. I remember Romeo Spartan of his, a fair Derby contender who got his card marked. I asked Charlie about him one night and he just said he's up the road now. Disappointing getting disqualified dogs at the time but the man obviously gets over it. Wasnt his Cabra Noel disq in the Derby too? Not one of Charlie's better years and i'd be miffed too if more of my good dogs had to "go up the road."

It's not Daryl Williams fault the dog is a horrible screw though is it? If Daryl Williams had of totally ignored the dogs antics the last 2 weeks when interviewing them after the race everybody would be calling him gutless and telling him to take his tounge out of connections ****, he asked the question the majority of people wanted him to ask i'd say and Charlie didn't like it.
Report woodmanchester May 29, 2012 9:54 AM BST
Didnt see it but yeah not Darryls fault. Just sounds an awkward situation. Dont suppose Hills mentioned much about Wimbledon closing either but plugging boost in price money. Think they want to own the Derby, price anybody else out of sponsoring it. Okay, its the greatest race of them all but other Derbies only worth a fraction of £150k. Maybe Hills see it as one huge payday.

PS, think Jaytee Apache (Tullig Joy) was the one disqualified, runs in the finale Hove Thursday, not Lister's Cabra Noel (Tyrur Justin, i think). Never know if i'm coming or going with all these name changes

Woody there is no defence to what he said, very unprofessional and with his OBE now and everyone licking his @rse all the time, he should have a lot more class than what he is showing he has done very well out of the game dont know why he seems to have a chip on shoulder of late?

someone mentioned Nick Savva above and totally agree i have him in higher regard than Charlie for what he has done in the game

Was actually watching the meeting on Saturday night with a couple of horse racing punter mates of mine who have no clue about dogs, they could not believe how badly he came across on Sky(regardless of what just happened) - nearly made Mouse Morris the horse trainer look like Paul Nicholls in comparison!!

Does sound bad but like i said didnt see it. He's spoken to me okay in the past, when i've picked my moment though. Maybe he was in a huff and dunno why, but a bit more so since the OBE. He's handled some great dogs very well though and his "knockers", for want of a better word (sorry PF), should read the write up in the Derby programme about him

Thank you Miss Wales for restoring faith in my own appraisal of what was truly a dreadful trio of connections.  I can only hope that one day a Paxman gets hold of them.
