1. Little Jig
17/48 winner of 15 opens including the Warwickshire Oaks & Pride of the West competitions. Trapping well, then outpaced to the bend has been her run style to date. It's hard for me to see her getting involved in a quality final.
Speed Rating 100

2. Shaws Dilemma
8/9 winner of 4 opens including the Wimbledon puppy oaks. Has superb early pace and is a strong contender.
Speed Rating 108

3. Freedom Emma
8/22 winner of 6 opens including the Trafalgar Cup. Has been trapping moderately, but showing an awesome burst of speed to the 3rd bend in the heats. Needs a better break, but could go very close if avoiding trouble.
Speed Rating 101

4. Slick Sioux
13/30 winner of 10 opens (8 Ire 2 UK) incl Tyrur Ted champion ** comp at Galway. Dived to the rails on 5 Dec. Checked at the 2nd bend and scraped into the final. Needs to have benefitted from a weeks rest. Speed Rating 102

5. Cabra Exclusive
4/10 winner of 2 opens (1 Ire 1 UK) Was not fluent at bends 1-2 on 1st & 6th Dec. Held on desperately for 2nd in her semi final. Lightly raced, but something to prove. Another that needs to have benefitted from a weeks rest
Speed Rating 103

6. Tyrur Liz
15/36 winner of 11 opens (9 Ire 2 UK) including an Irish Derbyy heat. Showed blistering back straight pace in some of her Irish wins. Not the best from the traps, but has pace to the first bend and possess a mighty back straight surge. Was chalked up 8/1 Ante Post and carries an ew investment from me.
Speed Rating 121

Verdict Tyrur Liz, Shaws Dilemma and Tyrur Liz are taken to fight out a brilliant Oaks final. Shaws Dilemmas may be somewhat disadvantaged by a draw towards the inside. Her awesome early speed will always give her a decent chance. The way Freedom Emma has been flying into the 3rd bend gives her supporters reason to hope. She looks very fairly priced to me. Tyrur Liz is prone to give her rivals a chance by tardy starts. However, she may break better again drawn in six and with her potent back straight surge, she is taken to land a thriller.

nice summary...and talking my own book I know...but I think Freedom Emma is the value of the race. If the Irish** gets a clear run she's going to be very hard to beat but Emma has as much back straight pace as anything in the race, just needs a decent break to make them all go
