When did carfin dog track close?

quite a while ago!

1999 i think,

Went all the way up there from Yorkshire once for a tenner a dog betting trial. ,when i got there there was 8 runners in the paddock, Track decided they would run a seven dog race, so balloted out the 8th dog, you guessed it,we got balloted out, I offered three of the Scottish guys a fifty for there entry,(dispite knowing it would kill the price), they all refused,so we didnt get a run,
The winner was backed into 1/2F,won 17L and smashed the clock, (did about 30:29 555yds or so). Stiil was a long drive home and I would have preferred to have run and got beat than go all that way and not get a run.
