Could anyone point me in the direction of the site which gives you all open race fixtures? New laptop and been out of the game for a while. Think it used to be on the ngrc website. Can't find similar on thedogs site.

Also, when is the final Tuesday Wdon meeting?

Weaver - it is on thedogs site. Go to results and the calendar is on the left. Odd place for it but it's an odd organisation.

Thanks Sup. Like you say, strange place to put it.

Is the Oaks final night the last Tuesday at Wdon or will they go through til end of Dec?

Not sure Weaver - one of the Don regulars Casemoney, Catford Toteboard etc should know. They used to have the odd open around Christmas to give a few open dogs a look before the new year comps there but it will be a struggle now, I'd imagine. I remember winning an open in late Dec and had my mum down to stay for Christmas, so I dragged her down the track and sent her up for the trophy.

Was there on Weds for trials and people seemed to think that Tuesday's would be dropped in the New Year so Tuesday 29th Dec would be the last one. However, I note that the Sprigbok final is scheduled for Tuesday February 9th.
I'll let you know when I know more. As it happens our ** is expected to be back on track in mid January but will find it hard to get many races for her without Tuesdays.

Thanks CT. Have the Sky nights been sorted as yet (contract with sky rather than dates)? Or is that the next bit of bad news.

No Weaver they haven't and more worringly there still is no word on a Deby sponsor. This Oaks is the last of Billies sponsorship and I understand they will not be sponsoring any races apart from at their own tracks in the future.

Very much doubt next year's derby prize money will be 100k then. Can't think of anyone who will sponsor the event

Had a look at the Calendar and am worried!
It appears that they've got Springbok trial stakes scheduled for Tuesday's 12th, 19th and 26th of January. I assume that they will putting them on to the Fri/Sat cards and hopefully make them 13/14 race cards to accomodate.

I heard a whisper Hills were sponsoring the derby Catford ,any truth in that ?
Report Hung Like A Donkey November 27, 2009 10:44 PM GMT
Didnt they say in post all sky nights/open races will be additional meetings?
Report Catford Toteboard November 27, 2009 10:45 PM GMT
Well if that is the Case then I have been well and truly put away. But it wont be the first time!
Perhaps they are just trying to talk down the price and are actually negotiating. Not even sure that the Spingbok has a sponsor. Was Sid last year wasn't it?
Everything seems up in the air right now. Perhaps the announcement that the Fund is trumping up half of the MTM refurb will move things on.
Hope so.

Yes HLAD, but those trials aren't on Sky and do you expect them to have full meeting to accomodate one open trial stakes?
Report Hung Like A Donkey November 27, 2009 10:49 PM GMT
