matsuyama looking good now. he's 4/11. i completely wrote him off when he was about 36 earlier in the week after it was reported he had his wallet stolen and his caddy and coach had to go back to Japan having had their visas and passports stolen. it will be a memorable week for the guy if he pulls it off

Very tough season for me (especially after the previous couple of years!) but that's the way it goes. A few hard luck stories here and there - here's a rundown.
There were 30 tournaments that I bet in.
There have been 236 selections in total
There were 3 Wins @ 70, 15, 34
2nd(inc. ties) 8 @ 55, 36, 90, 55, 38, 23, 38, 30
3rd (inc. ties) 4 @ 28, 30, 50, 70
4th(inc. ties) 3 @ 95, 55, 30
5th(inc. ties) 2 @ 75, 55
Backing them all at level stakes (although that's not the way I did it!) would have led to -117 units and I figure that's the fairest way to show it....
I'll be back next year - good luck all!

Hoping for a wild start to this season - some excellent players at the head of the betting but this tournament can throw up some big numbers on the leaderboard.

Good scouting by Stewpot, was going to try and sign you up for my team!
Good luck with those Raz. You'd be guaranteed a profit for the season if one of those land!
My picks are at boring prices apart from Putnam.

The first round leader prices in brackets I've had a few quid on too.

Cheers, guys! Yeh, turned into a good tournament for me. Really fancied Straka but a poor first round did for him. Henley brought off some cracking long-range putts and played well all-round.

I reckon it's time we had another Latin-American winner of the Masters. With that in mind I'm having a few bob on Joaquin Niemann. also small punts on:
To be perfectly honest there is no real method in my madness, most of the above are either based on hunch/guesswork, having backed them before or the mere fact that they have vaguely amusing names. As for who I think might actually win it, .. Morikawa.

Wouldn't put anyone off Scheffler or McIlroy (6 and 6.6 this morning) at least as saver bets but I like to look for some proper prices. This tournament has thrown up some long odds winners over the years and let's hope at least for some good trading opportunities this week.
J Thomas 24 S Straka 80 K Mitchell 200 D McCarthy 350 N Hojgaard 540 N Norgaard 530 M Kim 630 H Hall 820 M Thorbjornsen 1000
Justin Thomas - could be coming into form at just the right time Sepp Straka - more than capable of following up last week's win (no-one better in GIR at the moment) Keith Mitchell - fiery and seems to lose his rag now and then but got to put it all together one of these days! Denny McCarthy is very underrated - excellent putter Nicholas Horgaard - inconsistent but so talented N Norgaard - huge hitter and huge price! Michael Kim - excellent around the green but needs to be better off the tee Harry Hall - as above M Thorbjornsen - big hitter and GIR stats are good.
Good luck all...
