You can talk about the captain and his picks, even question the pairings etc, but in reality the US has too much firepower and the European team is ageing out. Let's be honest the teamwork for Europe has got them past more talented US teams in the past, The bad news for Europe is the US also seem more of a team now too, to go along with their talent - and a young team.
To put it in to perspective, I think this team would also have beaten Europe:
Na Horschel Burns Kokrak Reed Simpson Homa Harman Tringale Kisner Bradley Varner III
Going to be a struggle for a good few cups. Surely at least half of Europe's team won't be in the next cup. Are there enough youngsters coming through to replace weary, Casey etc?
US team the last time they played in Europe and got trounced: Brooks Koepka Dustin Johnson Justin Thomas Patrick Reed Bubba Watson Jordan Spieth Rickie Fowler Webb Simpson Bryson DeChambeau Phil Mickelson Tiger Woods Tony Finau
So half of this year's team and the other 6 not too shabby
Home advantage is usually big in the US (more so this year for pandemic reasons) and huge in Europe. Barry Lane and Peter Baker were playing the last time Europe lost at home. I also think captains make a big difference. Big ego captains are usually bad news. Stricker a perfect choice for them (he also has the biggest winning margin in the presidents cup in recent times). Not everyone will handle a team with Koepka, DeChambeau, DJ and JT, especially in an away game. The current EU price is tempting to me even 2 years out
It will be interesting to see whether they stick with 6 auto picks and/or whether Europe follow suit

Know there's been other team competitions fall by the wayside but feels like they Europe would really benefit from a proper competition up against the Presidents Cup rest of the world team, it's a big advantage to the USA in terms of preparedness and experience to be playing a team event every year when each opponent only plays every other year. Would probably be more entertaining to watch too with more evenly matched teams.

Not sure about that, the USA have had the Presidents Cup since the 90s and have been routinely battered in most Ryder Cups since then.
The problem is the way they won and the number of rookies. Historically, the USA have won the Presidents Cup easily playing relaxed attacking golf, and found it an easy, enjoyable week. The Ryder Cup has always been a much bigger deal. Rookies have struggled playing Ryder Cup in the past and failed to bring their A games. The problem with such an easy win is that they might be able to ignore the pressure and history in future contests, and just stroll up and win.

One trophy each for now for Horschel, Homa and Burns in the time since it was announced they weren't on the team. Embarrassment of riches for the USA team, Europe desperately need some quality youth to emerge.

USA turned up in form and got stuck into the task.
Simply impossible to beat a team of that calibre when they hit top gear.
It may well be Europe did well to limit the damage.
Course layout in Rome will be important to play to our strengths and mitigate usa strengths
