RIP.
Great golfer.
I remember him with a beer in his hand at the back of the 18th green at The Lusaka Club, Zambia, watching the other pros finish, and making a few amusing comments.

I liked barnes, always larger than life and enjoyed him when he used to guest in the sky sports studio during tourney's, an extract from the guardian

" Barnes was a larger than life character who was known to like a drink and famously marked his ball with a beer can on the final hole of the 1982 scottish professional championship, before putting out for the win. He would regularly tee off with a bottle of vodka and orange juice in his bag and one year, at the zambia open, downed 3 pints in the clubhouse, checked his watch and headed for the door, id better be going now he said, im due on the 10th tee LaughLaugh legend.

R I P Brian.
