I agree that it is really disappointing that Rose felt that SA was more important than a WGC event in Mexico

HAVE BACKED RICKIE FOWLER
(take note jedi, I do post my bets ![]() as to me it seems a bit strange that he's longer than some others, given he won his last event which should have given him a huge psychological boost. Even if he was hugely unimpressive in doing so, think that was deceptive. don't think he's currently any worse than anyone else in the field. only thing that puts me off is can he go back to back, don't think he has ever done before, and he's never played well on po annua, but I just can't see him not going well this week. Rory another obvious one, also like Fleetwood here. |
By:
this week i am obviously going for Tiger, but the other bets are Rahm, Bubba,Rory and Hideki
|
By:
£20 on Dusty @ 13's
|
By:
Another £10 on Dusty....
Added a Tenner on Koepka @ 26 A Fiver on Charlie Howell III @ 100 A Fiver on Ancer @ 210, and A speculative E5 on Eddie Pepperpot at 420. Liability -£55 |

LR in backing Rickie Fowler shocker
![]() I don't back pre off very much, but Cabrera Bello, Fleetwood and Willett for me to kick this off. GL all. |
By:
lol hank think last time out was the first time I backed him this season!
actually he did me a favour last year in the masters as was on him heavy each way. at least he's gone me some favours unlike some other big names I could mention. ![]() just can't see fowler not being up there. should be shorter than rory imo. and dusty looks a bit flat at the moment, wouldn't back him with stolen money in this. have also added fleetwood each way. good course form and for me it's only matter of time before he breaks his pga tour duck. far too good to go winless on this side of the pond for long imo. |
By:
Think Brooks is just revving up and like the look of him this week, also my main bet in the masters.
Xander as back up and can't believe Speith is 50/1 Good luck all |
By:
No love for Phil it seems. Has played the course beautifully through two editions, price more than fair. Interested too see how Tiger fares, shorter courses give him the chance now but the bombers have ruled here so far. Got JT and Rory on side.
|
By:
Spieth will have his dad on the bag this week as Grellar's dad sadly died. While obviously not good circumstances the short-term change might do Jordan some good.
|
By:
I'm surprised by Phil's price too Rhino, defending champ and won two weeks ago you'd think he'd be shorter, can only be a reaction to the amount of golf he's been playing. Would surely be shorter if he'd skipped Riviera but probably a good thing for his chances he didn't really get in the mix there. Problem with Phil is he's so unpredictable it's quite hard to pull the trigger on a significant back.
|
By:
I'm with you on Willett, Hank. Think there's a bit of an Augusta feel to this place hence Phil's success, plus Danny has a good record at altitude in Crans so hoping there's some positive correlations there.
|
By:
i think Fleetwood will have a good week and also wouldn't be surprised if Hatton gets back to some form here
Eddie P a decent outsider |
By:
I was thinking Phil has played a lot as well TB but checked last year and had the same lead up playing the three weeks prior. I agree very unpredictable but worth something here, this is the last place I'd contemplate backing him before Augusta given Houston is gone.
|
By:
what do we make of spiffy at 44+ basically on the back of one round, albeit a dreadful one?
|
By:
i would say at that price ypu are getting over 10/1 on a top 5 place bet, usually he isnt much more than 10/1 to win an event, it has to be eachway value at the very least
|
By:
he could well bomb out but unless he is completely shot I reckon there will be a good chance of trading at some stage
worth the risk given the initial price |
By:
Small wager on Spieth at 48s on the back of the news of Greller's old man. Might not give a rats about golf and his slump. His own old man on the bag and he might just go out and have fun and then who knows. Feels like a pressure-free week in that sense without expectations.
Pure speculation but worth a spec at the odds. Decent team this week for me, all free having traded well. JT Rory Fowler Tiger Phil Matsy Spieth Reed |
By:
Back to trade would seem sensible.
Certainly had the opportunity last couple weeks. Been fairly short in fact both weeks. However could also be 1000 if plays like Sunday. 18 hcap. |
By:
Probably right Jedi but you just never know. His play lately reminds me of a more freakier version of Rory's 'freaky Fridays' in 2014. When he sorted out the Fridays the guys at EA sports named the video game after him...
Can't believe that was 5 years ago btw, doesn't time fly ![]() |
By:
i have added spieh also, you lot have convinced its woth the trade atleast
|
By:
Rory called freaky sundays now, that's how long Rhino.
![]() Lol. Played well Sunday there but then completely booked when realised in with a chance.5.5 finish... |
By:
Rhino, you talked me into a bit of Phil. Price coming in a bit now but high 30s just seems big for the course & current form- on a course which looks like it could become a bit of a specialists track I'd say there's not much to split the chances of him and, say, Tiger. Played a lot but MC at Phoenix and a fairly quiet week at Riv shouldn't be too much of a concern.
|
By:
Speith should have wore a blond “wild thing”wig last Sunday, was car crash tele. I’m on DJ(horses for courses). Mcilroy goes week round here too, and both big hitters. Chucked Fleetwood in for value, and Pepperel small ew
|
By:
I suppose you could use the psychological argument that Spieth might want to impress his dad here, who is on his bag.
although that is a bit faint it might have some relevance. But he was so bad in last weeks final round I find that difficult to get out of my head. |
By:
Eagles already flowing at the drivable first.
|
By:
Over par no good here....
Tear this up today. Should we get out of Spieth though?hmmmmm. ![]() |
By:
Possibly a BIG par JT after Sunday. Possibly.
|
By:
Benny A from -3 thru 2 to +1 thru 5, impressive.
|
By:
Brilliant stuff from Phil, just terrific.
|
By:
Phil looks well out of sorts
too much golf? |
By:
That was the worry. Way he's started he might not even hang around.
|
By:
oh no Muginley is back
|
By:
I wonder what reception Kuchar is getting?
![]() Woods' provisional looked worse than the first! |
By:
Tiger and Phil almost gone before it's started
|
By:
A great bunker shot but a db to start
|
By:
Kind of the beauty of this course. Looks like they should all be shooting about 10 under a round but no shortage of trainwrecks about too, barely a dull hole.
|
By:
on the leaderboard t tigers group has the asterix to say they are starting on back 9 but they are on the front? i was expecting a quick par 5 and fast start but that isnt the case anyway. so thats an error on the leaderboard im sure
