In the first round of 2017 MASTERS the highlight was the play of Charley Hoffman, who finished the day with a score of 65 and a 7-under that earned him the top spot on the leaderboard and a four-stroke lead. On a day in which golfers had to battle incredibly high winds, Charley’s score was just the second one that finished inside the 60s (McGirt 69). In fact, he was a whole 10 shots better than the average score on the day (75). Hoff shot 65,75,72,78 for T22 along with McGirt, Day, Thomas & Mickelson.

I must admit I didn't really see this sort of mental strength coming from Conners - glad I kept him onside though!

This has been very impressive.  Could have gone completely to pieces after the turn, many would.  Hope nothing silly occurs at the last because he fully deserves the win and the trip to Augusta.

When it's your time it's your time - Conners even gets it in after a horseshoe! Fair play to the guy for a very gutsy Sunday performance. Loads of guys would have totally imploded after 4 bogeys on the spin.

Anywhere over the creek in 3 shots and it's done.  After the back 9 performance deserves to have a nice easy walk up 18 to enjoy.
