You spend all day building a position on the 7s and 8s....
|
By:
Not much water to be found on this course, but Rickie always up to the challenge.
|
By:
Si Woo short game mustard...really is.
|
By:
Was just reading Sabbatini now has Slovakian citizenship - that makes 4! doubt anyone on tour has more than that.
|
By:
He's a strange fella.
|
By:
Will be an Slovak Olympic star !

I'm not on Ricky this week or next week Hank so couldn't give a monkeys
My only bets this week are Spieth, furious and scott stallings. for small stakes. although I wouldn't be surprised if fowler won a major this year, I don't really have a feeling for him for this or the masters. got a big position on Spieth next week already with savers on tiger and day. incidentally if you read some of the posters on here you might come to the conclusion that Jordan could become the first golfer still in his twenties to receive a letter from the augusta committee politely requesting if he could decline his statutory invite, his form has been that bad, but he was always going to peak for Augusta, and his work on the greens so far suggests that he's peaking nicely. |
By:
Spiffy has looked better LR.Granted.
But we've been here before recently and he has completely plummeted over weekend... Wind around wont help in my view either, his stats off the tee are still appalling. I still see him and Ricky as lays around the lead.At any course including Augusta. Ricky traded under 3 I think? Ridiculous.... |
By:
Can. Spieth win this ?
|
By:
He can win...
For sure. Hasnt recently played 4 rounds well though! |
By:
lol LR just on the wind up, Nobody hopes you're right about Spieth for the Masters more than me - big fan of the lad. As jedi says though we need to see 4 rds put together. It certainly would be a huge confidence boost to do it the week before the Masters.

Adding S W KIM @3.3
2019 TEXAS OPEN PICKS :- Billy Horschel @28 R Palmer @70 J B Holmes @75 S W Kim @3.3 GL if playing........... |
By:
Rick seems to be picking up where he left off.
|
By:
Moving day could be interesting if Kim comes further back to the pack. Korean golf seems very strong right now - always seems to be someone from there up the leaderboard. I remember when it would just be KJ or Yang.
|
By:
I keep forgetting Si Woo is only 23, seems to have been about for ever. They've had loads of promising male players down the years and seem to be producing more, but still waiting for someone to reach superstar level - I wonder if the looming prospect of national service is the problem (in comparison to the success of the females)?
|
By:
If they win something big don't they get to skip it? like the Spurs player - it would be quite some incentive! I don't watch the Lpga but from seeing some leaderboards now and again why do Asian players dominate that so much? just the financial input in to it, or something else?
|
By:
Did Jones really miss inside 3 ft?
|
By:
Think they need to win an Olympic or Asian Games gold to skip national service, not a lot of use for golfers although I guess none of them will be skipping Tokyo if they qualify. Hadn't really occurred to me before but I guess the reason guys like Si Woo and Sungjae turn pro so young is the fact their careers get halted in their mid 20s and it's a long road back from that long out so they need to make hay early.

Looking dodgy for Spieth
|
By:
Beware the hoffmesiter is lurking

By:
Jordan +3 through 4, interesting to see the reaction here. Recently this is where he goes on full blown tilt.
|
By:
why isn't Valero on Sky proper ( rather than ' red button ' )
|
By:
lol KH Lee putting off the green

By:
Don't share your amusement Hank...
|
By:
one of your greens TB?
The rain has made this course a bit more interesting |
By:
Yeah, KH a big green from the start. 5th seems to be giving them fits.
|
By:
Yes very tricky hole today. Conners from Monday qualifier to sat co-leader
|
By:
Another bogey for Spieth

By:
Masters price on the rebound.
|
By:
From what could have been a confidence boost to possibly making him doubt his game even more - the mind games of golf are fascinating.
|
By:
Si Woo now shorter than he teed off with a 4 shot lead. I can't see how his situation has improved.
|
By:
Good point TB - I can only assume the market is factoring in the players closest to him as not as big a threat
|
By:
Conners about to take the lead
|
By:
Go on Hoffmeister!
|
By:
not often you get a monday qualifier in contention
|
By:
no true, he was contending some last season if I remember though
|
By:
