A NEW third official PGA TOUR tournament on the 2017-18 PGA TOUR.....
THE CJ CUP @ NINE BRIDGES gives three strong tournaments in consecutive weeks in Asia with the CIMB Classic (KL, Malaysia), THE CJ CUP @ NINE BRIDGES in South Korea
followed by the World Golf Championships-HSBC Champions (Shanghai, China).

A respected business leader like the CJ Corporation - a strong, vibrant company that taps into the lives of consumers worldwide through food and food service, bio pharmaceuticals, homeshopping and logistics, entertainment and media, and golf - has hosted world-class golf events such as the first LPGA tournament in Korea, the CJ Nine Bridges Classic from 2002-2005, and the Asian Tour Tournament CJ Invitational hosted by Korea's legendary player KJ Choi from 2011-2013; and also is actively discovering and investing in new upcoming golf talent in Korea and preparing them for the global stage.
Since 2001, the CJ Group has sponsored 19 Korean golf talents, including the legendary Seri Park.

THE CJ CUP from THE CLUB at NINE BRIDGES on Jeju Island off the coast of South Korea will feature a field of 78 players, with 60 coming from the PGA TOUR FedExCup points list. The remaining players, with many of the best Korean players represented, will come from a number of different exemptions.

In 2016, 20 players from Korea had membership on either the PGA TOUR or Web.com Tour. On the PGA TOUR’s international-player roster, the 12 Korean members for the 2016-17 season is exceeded only by the 15 from Australia. There may be no better than SEUNGHYUK KIM - a Korean that splits his time between the KPGA Korean Tour and Japan Golf Tour - on the KPGA - he won twice including the inaugural Genesis Championship near the end of September where he won by eight strokes. This particular ‘KIM’ @500/1 ranks 4th in the Genesis Point race but 1st on the Money List. The 31-year-old won twice on the KPGA and once on the Japan Golf Tour back in 2014 but this will be his first crack at a PGA TOUR event.

Patrick Cantlay is one of five early-week withdraws from this week's CJ CUP field  (he could still make his season debut next week in China) – also remove Jason Dufner, Russell Knox, Mackenzie Hughes, and Ernie Els from this week’s picks.

Any TOUR stop here wouldn’t be complete without a shagging visit to the out-door sculpture theme park and 'educational centre' of LOVELAND on Jeju Island (google it) Devil
Bet the 'gift shop' is interesting Whoops
