Really enjoy this event, mostly because its a course I know well.
Not a particularly deep field and a couple of players jump out at decent odds. Both Russell Knox and David Lingmerth drop down a grade and play European Tour event and both have some decent recent form on the PGA Tour. 33/1 and 40/1 respectively, both 7 places, looks attractive to my eyes.
Also like Ryan Fox at 33/1. Has had a very impressive season, played really well again in Switzerland, and his length will certainly be an asset around here.

IN 2018, we see all the previous winners since 2007 give it another go, on the Palmer designed Victoria course in Vilamoura (all bar Westwood 2009 winnner that is).

Going to watch this on Sat and Sun so hopefully have someone to cheer on while I’m there!
Main bet is Nacho Elvira. Really good course form and been playing very well the past month or so. Next best is Detry. He’s getting closer all the time and did really well here last year. Could be his turn soon! Also backing Sullivan, Pepperell (fast becoming my cliff horse) and Hebert. |
