New name, new course. Love the event, New York crowds are always buzzing and the courses are generally excellent. Some interesting prices about, the layers are giving Spieth a worse chance here than at Quail Hollow which seems altogether wrong to me. Rarely back him but 15.5 seems a fair shout.

It is a superb course Ridgewood. Lots of birdies and lots of bogeys, should be an in-play traders delight. Really hard at the top, don't necessarily favour any of them and having a good hard look at the plodders at big odds. Someone who keeps it in play and can scramble is the formula based on events past. Kevin Na at 200 and above an automatic selection.
Found my pick of the market leaders and it is the market leader. Poa annua greens = DJ.
The poa angle is definitely important, some love it, some hate it. Definitely one for the guys who perform out west (Torrey, Pebble, Riv). DJ stands out a mile but so tough to back the guy at that price when it seems to depend what side of bed he gets out of. Already had a punt on Bubba, the King of the Riv, seems to depend on the same thing with him but worth a go at the odds. Few others under consideration, Sneds sadly ruined his price last week but very solid record out west on the poa.

I think he'll be just fine. 24 years old with 3 majors, 11 wins and 50 odd million in the bank. Hardly choked, -1 with a 54 hole lead on a tough course is no disaster. DJ deserved it, great round he played with clutch play at the end. That drive in the playoff was immense.
Jordan is a great putter no doubt, but his short game is sublime and he is second on the whole tour for approach play. Hardly reliant on luck. A winner no doubt, not sure why you are so keen on laying him, hiding to nothing of a strategy imo.
RHINO, The debate still rages in my view, I do not think he has progressed as many on here foreseen. And certainly is not a dominant player as many expected,his record is great,no doubt,but i question still his overall game and happy to continue laying when gets in contention or short....I think he is getting more and more in his own way as the months go bye...

gonna go with Tiger to get that first win of the comeback, confidence has to be highest its been so far this time around
Heavily invested in Tigger. He done amazingly well to get 2nd a couple of weeks ago and here he can put away his driver. He could end up winning by 4 or 5 if he's in the same form.
Ended up with DJ, insurance on Koepka, Moli, Cantlay, Na, Cink, Si Woo and Putnam. Cink is the big winner, very nice price given his form and the fact the course doesn't require length. 250 on here, bookies taking no chances on him.

Sounds like it's slightly soggy, playing lift clean and place for round 1.

There's definitely been a few iffy things on the play by play today. Sneds WD with a chest injury, guy has terrible luck, fancied him to go well this week and get in the picture for the Ryder Cup.

Bit of an after time, but when I was looking at guys who'd won on Poa the one outside punt I had was Vaughn, who won at Pebble and has also top 5'd here. Nice finish to his round.
Fancied Phil due to the poa angle but didn't get matched at the price i wanted. No doubt win by 8 now.

First two years on tour he had 3 wins including a major and a WGC. What odds would you have got after that Firestone win he wouldn't have another 6 years later?

glad i decided to stick with the euro tour this week, there was some good golf played their today, i do not normally enjy watching the euro courses
hoping for a Bryson melt tomorrow so we can have some excitement. Seeing as Bradley has got himself in contention do you think the long putters have all adjusted finally? certainly took some longer than others.
They are lucky Bryson hasn't shut the door on them entirely (yet). Bizarre that a course that's yielded so many low scores has seen such woeful stuff from the final groups.
Aside from himself, hard to see who is gonna take him down tomorrow.
No mud balls and drying and quicker greens have made this a much more different course

when one player has a lead not two/three players esp relatively inexperienced gives the chasers a chance can see him over analysing things with a ryder cup place up for grabs...dosent put me up or down really but have a place chance with speith 8 places........know i would grab a place now with both hands if was offered........whos most likely to benefit if he plays poorly was working didnt see any play today

Would be nice to see Tony produce one of his birdie barrages when it matters for a change, rather when out of contention. Going to take a big back 9 to put any pressure on.
