The 20-year-old Korean Jeunghun WANG is riding the wave of his maiden European Tour victory last week, posting another fine round of 2-under-par 33-37=70 for a 36-hole total of 5-under 139 to currently lie second on his own. Starting from the 10th tee he was out of the blocks quickly, posting birdie eagle birdie on 12, 13 & 14 but then made three bogeys on 15, 3 & 6 to slip backwards before a final bird on 7 - best of the morning finishers, but still one shy of Rd.1. leader Aussie Andrew Dodt who teed off as Wang signed his card.

COLSAERTS fans are happier with a fast start to Rd.2 -4thru7 to get him back into the T7 at one under.

Its a classic journeyman choke. He was 4 shots up and his arse exploded.

scott hend +7 for last 6 holes, got to love it, -2 and he was almost there, and given
there are 2 reasonable par 5s it wasnt a huge ask...

siddikur, unfortunately for him, morphed into dodt on the last 3 holes to present wang with back to back victories
bit fortuitous really..the beneficiary of some abject choking

Teenager RASMUS Højgaard claims historic win in Mauritius and became the third youngest winner in European Tour history with a dramatic play-off triumph at the AfrAsia Bank Mauritius Open. The 18-year-old Dane birdied the 72nd hole to get to 19 under alongside Italian Renato Paratore and Frenchman Antoine Rozner as the event went to a play-off for the third time in as many stagings at Heritage Golf Club. Højgaard missed a 12 foot eagle putt for the title on the first trip back up the par five last but - after halving the hole in birdies with Rozner at the second attempt - made his three from similar range at the third time of asking to take the title.

At 18 years and 271 days old, only Italian Matteo Manassero - who won twice as a 17-year-old - and New Zealander Danny Lee have won on the European Tour at a younger age.
After becoming the first player born in the 21st century to graduate from the Qualifying School, Rasmus is now a European Tour winner in just his fifth event.
That makes him the fastest Dane to a European Tour win, beating 15 time winner and 2018 Ryder Cup captain Thomas Bjørn's record of 24 events. Rasmus was part of the winning European Jacques Leglise team at Ballybunion in 2017 and came to prominence in 2018 as he won the Eisenhower Trophy for Team Denmark, and played with his brother at the Junior Ryder Cup.
