An open looking affair and he has had a handy recent reintroduction to racing and there will be plenty of horses not completing this afternoon as things are quite soft and testing. Maybe 7/1 or better.

Schwartzel is only 3 shots ahead - I'll settle for that. I was expecting it to be all over.

I was watching the odds and to my horror it looked like he'd birdied the last hole. Then they jumped up again, so I'm guessing he came close to being 4 ahead???

Anybody got a  weather forecast for the golf course today. Wish I was there. Bloody howling gale here in Ireland. Would not care to be teeing off at the Lahinch or Ballybunion courses this morning. A morning for drinking tea and playng snooker at the 19th and watching the Dunhill. I'm busy looking through today's horses but fear some meeting may be postponed because of the current blow with heavy rain.

Need to back some on Schwartzel but definitely not going punting @ 1.42. My position is strong, just need to balance things and am not a huge fan of losing a portion when cashing out. But it is a handy weapon if you need to work quickly.

I have taken a profit of €162 so now I am supporting anybody in a tough position. Still think the leader will win but happy to be out of both tournaments with an extra €200 in the bank.

Yes I was tempted to back him before the event just the 3-1 put me off. A friend of mine thinks he's totally overrated because of that one masters win, but you know he obviously has a great record on this track.

Like recent winners Jordan Spieth & Cody Gribble this year, BRANDON STONE is a University of Texas alum - “Texas Longhorns”.
23yo STONE played at Texas in 2013 and earned three medalist honours in his freshman season and was named to the All-America First Team.
