Little confused as to where to go in this one, i always liked it as it brought the shorter hitters into the mix and i was a fan, gave a bit of focus to picking em.
All change this year tho, With the addition of ANOTHER COURSE, which not long has 3 par 5s which are reachable so maybe we will see more of the big hitters well up the leaderboard....

i had a team nion picked out using my own info but am holding off on posting untill i have a proper look at new stuff..

Just one little pointer for you, all these players either live there or regurly use this resort......

Blayne Barber, Jonas Blixt, Scott Brown, Stewart Cink, Brendon De Jonge, Luke Guthrie, Henrik Norlander, Kyle Reifers, Wes Roach, John Rollins, Michael Thompson and Johnson Wagner,Zach Johnson, Matt Kuchar, Jonathan Byrd, Harris English, Lucas Glover, Brian Harman, Charles Howell III, Chris Kirk, Patton Kizzire, Brandt Snedeker, Hudson Swafford and tournament host Davis Love III

Previously residing in the Sea Island area and making three previous appearances (45,MC,32) Brandt Rusty Snedeker returns from a 20 week layoff due to injury since the Travelers Championship in June. Also re-worked his swing so lots of question marks after his name. AVOID.

does anyone else think this is a tournament for racist white men- there is a conspicuous lack of players like Harold Varner III and Tony Finau- who no doubt would feel uncomfortable playing on the "plantation" course.

I notice all the players who the commentators say have moved to this part of Georgia are White as well.

Georgia's 18/1 Chris Kirk is your 2013 Champ - benefited from Briny Baird's painful collapse on the final hole. Only four rounds in the 60s in five attempts at HTGL down the coast doesn’t bode well but form horse with three T10s in his last four starts and has a run of Win-T4-T18 in his last three RSM Classics. He’s a product of the University of Georgia and a native of Georgia. This layout has also hosted the SEC Championship on multiple occasions, so many of those University of Georgia, University of Alabama and University of Florida golfers that populate the PGA TOUR teed it up here in college.

Going well again Devil

After opening in 66-62-66, he began with a three-shot lead over 18-hole leader Chris Kirk. COOK earns a two-year exemption on TOUR and a host of invites, including to the 2018 TOC, the Masters, THE PLAYERS, and PGA Championship. Go fcuk yourself LR. What a life-changing win for the 26yo !!! Devil

OWGR #302 COOK led just once in 52 starts on the Web.com Tour (R1 of the 2016 Rust-Oleum Championship). His steady play off the tee (hitting 12 of 14 fairways almost every day) allowed him to go pin-hunting. His strong iron play too produced top greens-in-regulation stats that showed only two bogeys all week. Expect a big move up the rankings tomorrow.

Think CT Pan may well notch his first win this week.

Not sure if anyone's seen my preview but as well as CT I have gone with McCarthy, Albertson, Dufner, Cauley & Blixt in my main team.

In this type of field thought Duf was well overpriced @ 90 based on his eye catching Sunday in Mexico & his 9th place on his only previous visit here.

I also thought that as a proven winner, who has shown glimmers of form of late who has played well on this type of course before, Blixt was definitely worth the risk @ 250s with the E/W terms on offer.

Good luck all!

if he's doing this much damage on tight tracks where accuracy is key, what's he going to do on bomber layouts? Scared

just seems a bit of a freak this guy, the way he just gets these birdie blitzes.

one minute he's out of it and the next thing is he's breathing down Charlie's neck.

might be a useful in-play trading option on champ- everytime he gets a birdie just back him, because there's a good chance he'll birdie the next 2 or 3 as well.

AS USUAL, the first two rounds of the RSM Classic (formerly the McGladrey) are played over two courses - Seaside & Plantation Courses at Sea Island GC - before all the action moves to the Seaside Course – which allows a full field of 156 players (incl. 7 of the past 9 Champions) and a host of debutants and Korn Ferry grads.
The Seaside Course was the lone venue for the first five editions prior to 2015 plays to a par of 70, stretching out to a mere 7,005 yards. Par 4 scoring is an important metric with 12 par 4s on the layout.
The par 72 Plantation Course has been totally redesigned since last year by the local’s Mark & Davis Love Design (Love family home on 14th). The biggest change maybe the repositioning and removeable of 70% of the bunkers, with new tees and fairways, now platinum paspalum grass, allowing better vistas throughout the golf course. Holes 14 to 16 are par 5, 4, 3 (formerly par 4, 3 and 5) with 15th the smallest of the 18 greens. (Lewisham Ranger was just a pr1ck btw). This course is a distinct contrast to play, with smaller bermuda greens than the Seaside Course while every greens complex is also totally new, and significantly different. Tongue Out

ICYW about that massive overturned Cargo Ship..... called the Golden Ray, it caught fire and capsized just off shore from St. Simons Island back in September.
The incident is still under investigation, but all 24 crew members were rescued safely. The 4,000 vehicle-carrying ship flipped on its side shortly after leaving the nearby port of Brunswick, Georgia. It’s not possible to safely right and re-float the Golden Ray fully intact apparently, so instead salvage crews have to dismantle and remove it from the water piece by piece. In the meantime, they are removing hundreds of thousands of gallons of fuel to prevent it from leaking into the ocean. The recovery process will take a long time, and until then golfers enjoying the courses at Sea Island will have the ship as a backdrop. It will certainly make for some interesting photographs of this year’s RSM Classic. (Tks local news).

Brendon Todd didn't win !!!

Looking good for Tyler Duncan (1.01) as he plays the 18th perfectly 3rd time around in playoff - sets up a great birdie chance.
Webb Simpson in the greenside bunker and gets out to about 8ft for par.....over to you Tyler.
...Tyler Duncan nails it - birdie for victory - 5-under-par-65 (4 under in back nine charge) - and his maiden tour win at the RSM Classic.

Brendon Todd once went 828 days without shooting in the 60s in a stroke-play event on either the Korn Ferry or PGA TOUR.
The "most PGA Tour rounds in the 60's streak" - rounds of 68 or lower streak
1. Tiger Woods 14
2. Brendon Todd 12

Todd's last 12 rounds on TOUR: 66 68 63 67 62 63 68 65 68 66 66 62 - that’s 68-under-par (and a 65.33 scoring average) btw Excited
...then shoots (+2) 72 Sunday Cry ....what an amazing run he gave it.
