I'd been speculating that Adam might go back to the broomstick. I know there's nothing illegal with what he's doing but might be a few raised eyebrows if he switches back to a stroke that's soon to be banned just for the Masters, especially if he goes on to win.

Eyebrows can please themselves though don't you think TB? If he wins, any objections to a legal putter is just noise.

Marc Leishman's appearance in next week's Masters is in doubt as his wife battles pneumonia.
Audrey Leishman was placed in a medically induced coma in a hospital near home in Virginia. Doctors want to isolate and treat all infections. He tied for fourth at Augusta in 2013 but MC last year. Even if he wasn't preoccupied with his wife's situation, the Aussie's form wouldn't trigger any interest in the season's first major. His only payday in his last four starts was as a result of a T51 at The Honda Classic. |

KUCHAR 33/1 PP 6 places
2014 Finished T5 at the Masters for both his third consecutive and third career top-10 at Augusta National GC. Was one shot off the lead entering the final round before a final-round 74 dropped him from contention. |

Anybody know how much coverage the BBC will have this year?
Ive only recently cancelled my Sky package but might be forced into going back as wouldn't enjoy watching the Masters on a stream. |
By:
BBC live rounds 3 and 4 only I think
|

For all the efforts of generation next, Bubba, DJ, Jimmy Walker etc it seems like all the talk Masters week will be centred around Tiger and Phil one more time.

I'm in Dublin. Setanta say they are covering all four days on their free channel - about 50% golf, 50% ads.

I'm beginning to think that Patrick Reed is overpriced at 40/1 e/w on here with 7 places, anybody else think the same? I know he doesn't have much experience at the course but is in decent form
|
By:
BETFAIR ARE NOT PAYING 7 PLACES!!!!
|
By:
They are with me. I've just topped up on Jamie Donaldson 125/1, 7 places.
What makes you say that they aren't paying 7 ? |
By:

Golfers finishing in 6th or 7th position will be paid out with a maximum each way place stake of £/€25. Dead Heat rules apply.

While Rory is of course favourite, on form, consistency and ability there's not all that much between him and Spieth at the moment.
|
By:
Agree TB, Spieth is scary good. He said last week Golf Club of Houston doesn't suit him at all. Mcilroy vs Spieth to be the Nicklaus/Palmer, Norman/Faldo, Woods/Mickelson of the next 15 years.
|
By:
It's incredible that a kid of 21 can contend almost every single week in all conditions and on any type of course. Not even Rory can claim that.
|
By:
Isn't it. Rory could well play the Palmer, Faldo, Mickelson role of the rivalry.
|
By:
Indeed. Rory may well end up with more wins but Spieth looks like he'll end up with more top 5's.
|
By:
That wouldn't be a ll jab at the shark now would it...

Ha, hadn't even thought of that comparison, pretty sure Spieth will win more than 2, but you never know. I was actually looking back at Jack's incredible top 5 record after you mentioned the Rory- Arnie comparison. In this era no-one's beating Jack's record, but Spieth looks like he could be the guy who posts the consistent results.
That said, every time anyone makes such big predictions for someone that young I think about Anthony Kim. You never know which way it'll go. |
By:
No you don't. It's easy to make bold predictions about Spieth though. Wasn't comparing Rory and Arnie, was just noting that Rory may play second fiddle to spieth over the next decade and a half.

Guys, helps please.......what does this mean? it was in the T&c's of Betfair paying on 7 places each way on Masters.
Golfers finishing in 6th or 7th position will be paid out with a maximum each way place stake of £/€25. Dead Heat rules apply. |
