Pretty direct link in form for this course and Waialae in Hawaii. Wagner and Wilson have both won here and the Sony in recent years, and Gay is a winner here with some pretty handy Sony form as well.

Step forward Tim Clark, first time here bur superb Waialae form, a tie for 2nd last week and a hell of a nice price. Was expecting something in the 20s, and probably would have taken it. At 38s he is a no brainer for me.

The OHL or Mayakoba Classic moves to a different time of the year but it will probably still produce the same type of winner and because of that there are some pretty short prices about which I wouldn't touch. Like last week I got in early and had a few savers on Baird 80, Na 110, Every 55 and Huh 60 but I don't want to touch the bookie prices - instead I have gone for three "winners".
JJ Henry has a fantastic scoring average around El Cameleon with a best finish of 2nd. His current level of play is really good with some career best finishes at courses he hasn't necessarily excelled at with some solid GIR stats which will be needed this week. He does strike me as a horses for courses man with his two wins coming at Montreux and River Highlands where he had bags of experience and some solid form. I would rather be on a player like this who is a confirmed winner, in form on a course he plays well than players who are shorter 0.5 ew 50/1.
Heath Slocum has four tour wins to his name and has a really good record in the Fall. He hasn't had a great three years since he won at last weeks venue - Sea Island but a return there saw a good finish with much improved putting stats - the thing that usually holds him back. Like Henry he has a great scoring average here including a 3rd on his debut and is just the sort of course he plays well on - 0.4 ew 80/1
Sometimes a price just jumps off the page at me and it certainly did when I saw 250/1 chalked up against Cameron Beckman. To use a horse racing term he is a standing dish around El Cameleon including a win in 2010. The reason he is such a big price is that he is a nightmare to catch right - his win came on the back of a string of missed cuts as did his 2008 win at the Frys.com. His other tour win was back in 2001 @ Annandale which like the Frys.com event was a Fall Finish event so he can certainly play well at this time of the year. His best finish this year came from out of the blue in July when second at a course he had won on before- the aforementioned Annandale. I have staked 0.4 ew 250/1 but have also had a go at the first round leader market - 0.1 ew 175/1 as over the years he has been 2/9/4/2/5/51

Hope you have a good week TMM........I took the 250s e.w on Beckman on Monday myself. Considered him the bet of the week at that price. He has only had 6 top 3 PGA finishes, but converted 3 of them into wins. There isn't many in this field capable of that.  Hadnt looked at first rd leader market, but as you say, he needs to be backed there too. Also on Slocum e.w at 80s, got  a small dribble matched at 110 on here early doors. Have backed Gay e.w at 40s, and Baird e.w 55s. Was tossing up whether or not to include JJ, so you have swayed me.

The weather delayed Mayakoba Classic is scheduled to resume at 12.30pm UK and Ireland time, live on Sky Sports Golf, with a thrilling finish in store at El Camaleon, Mexico.
Brendon Todd, who won the Bermuda Championship last time out, is tied at 20 under par with Vaugh Taylor in the final threeball. Todd is facing a birdie putt from about 20 feet on the 15th hole when play resumes, while Taylor will be putting for par from about six feet.
Harris English, the third member of the final group, is one shot behind his playing partners, but will line up a birdie putt from about ten feet when he gets back on the course.
English, an ante-post 40-1 Racing Post Sport selection, birdied the 13th and 14th holes to revive hopes that he can win a second Mayakoba title.
Carlos Ortiz is tied with English for third place, with just one hole to play. The final holes at El Camaleon are not straightforward, so Ortiz will know a par still gives him hope of victory. Todd is 13-10 favourite, with Taylor at 9-4, English at 7-2 and Ortiz 12-1. RP

Many Golfers Have Won 3 In a Row (Tks Google).....28 times in PGA Tour history — most recently by Dustin Johnson in 2017 — a golfer has won three consecutive starts. The first golfer to win three consecutive starts was Walter Hagen in 1923, which is also the earliest win streak mentioned on this page.
Here is the list of 3-tournament win streaks:

Walter Hagen, 1923
Joe Kirkwood Sr., 1924
Johnny Farrell, 1927
"Wild Bill" Mehlhorn, 1929
Horton Smith, 1929

Jim Ferrier, 1951
Billy Casper, 1960
Arnold Palmer, 1960
Arnold Palmer, 1962
Johnny Miller, 1974
Jack Nicklaus, 1975 (included The Masters Tournament)
Hubert Green, 1976
Gary Player, 1978 (included The Masters Tournament)
Tom Watson, 1980
Nick Price, 1993
David Duval, 1997
Tiger Woods, 2000 (included the PGA Championship)
Tiger Woods, 2001 (included The Masters Tournament)
Vijay Singh, 2004
Rory McIlroy, 2014 (included the PGA Championship
Dustin Johnson, 2017

Nelson, Hogan and Woods show up again among the 3-tournament streakers. And note that winning three in a row is a pretty good sign that you are something special on the golf course: Of all the golfers listed, only two — Mehlhorn and Kirkwood — failed to win a Major in their careers.
