GOLF COMP PICKS - FIRST STAGE - FIRST WEEK - USPGA GROUP

Well here goes another year of what must be one of the longest running competitions on Betfair… and one of the hardest to win !! No news on prize money yet… I am waiting to hear from Betfair. Check the rules once more before you post… they are on the original entry thread. A few points though to help newbies
1.    Try to put the full name of your pick as entries where it is not clear ie Molinari and Molinari will be voided and your sub used. It does not matter what you knew you meant.. make it clear from the get go and there can be no ambiguity
2.    Pick a maximum of ONE of the named favourites on the PICK thread. You don’t have to pick any of course but do not pick more than one for each tourney (Euro and US)
3.    Favourites are taken from the Betfair list at the time I do the picks… obviously that is a fluid list and what were favourites on Monday may not be on Thursday… nevertheless, the Pick thread named favourites are the only ones you need to worry about.
4.    Please pick a sub for each tourney.. if you don’t have time then just guess one. If your sub is needed and you don’t have one is a guaranteed -20… surely even a guess is going to average better than that ? Every year there are a number that do not enter subs, it is not mandatory, but it does cost points over the course of 11 months if your team gets that far
5.    It is not too late to enter the comp… if you are not able to enter picks before the start of the tee off this week you will score -20 for each pick you miss but will be able to make that up in the coming weeks if you score well enough…. Even if you enter next week ! Just put your name and your picks on the USPGA thread and you will be entered automatically.
