if rory or oosty bring their A games it could be a shootout, but elsewhere i like the look at much bigger prices of  thorbjorn oleson, the molinari brothers, and jeev singh ..t jaidee another one in the mix

Another made for TV Asian course. Adam has won 3 times here, played well most of last week and got rid of the rust. The man to beat this week.

Nothing fancy, just going to stick with Rory, Scott and Harrington.

yeah scott has a great chance on course form but alarm bells sound when im faced with pre event odds of 8/1, i reckon he will trade much higher even if he wins

so sweetchild, the question is what price have you got in mind to get on the ponce then? and when? when he is five back? when he bogeys his first hole?
what's your plan? he could do a poulter this week so pick a price thats higher than SP and put that in the system i reckon. otherwise you may not want to put it on him because there will always be juicier prices for others in the run that tempt you...

i'm thinking about 18's-19's?

ok. flying out tiger airways to singapore tmrw night and arrive in singapore thurs 3am.
my hotel has a putting green on the roof Cool
there til monday arvo and will prob watch two days golf.
my mrs wants to watch phil and i cant argue with that.
hopefully they pair him up with captain ponce and mr wozniacki.
gonna eat some satay, chicken rice and laksa.
i'm not the smart phone - give updates on the fly, kinda guy so i'll give my impressions after the rounds and if i get time off from eating.
i really do like phil here i must admit. and i'm always on the adam acott train. so those two will anchor my team along with casey.
i have to keep the casey thing going for a couple of weeks if i believe what i believe. it doesn't make sense otherwise to just dabble one week...

Price is very short but I can't see past Rory this week. In fact I expect he, Mickleson and Oostie to dominate this. Scott is way too short even allowing for his course form. I do wonder if playing with Els messed with his head last week though, must have reminded him of what could have been at the open.

He is just too lightweight for all his talent in my book. Much like Matt Kuchar - don't close out the deal often enough.

yeah just been going back thru some archives..he really does thrive here, its just the price thats putting me off..of course going purely on stats you would say 8/1 is value but as another poster said, he just doesnt convert enough of his chances into wins, despite having an immense talent.

re the weather, I would love to be able to spend a week playing golf in the weather that is usual for this time of year in Singapore. Rain showers are usually heavy but short in duration. Great for keeping fairways and greens in good condition.

the crucial factor is wind and there wont be too much of it apparently

@sweetchildofmine......   correct and temps. around 27 C average. Winds around 4 mph,  changing in all directions. Weather will be helpful rather than a hindranc.

rang betfair to ask and they have put a note on my account that i will be in singapore for the duration of the tourney for security purposes IP etc.
i will now have to to use my mrs' smart phone and download the betfair app.
holy cow. i could be behind the tee hoardings with the finger on the lay/back button.
that is super cool.
i could even remind pod what his betfair odds are on every tee. see how reacts Crazy.

if adam scott can salute in my home town while i'm there, that would be awesome.
on a sad note the mrs says unless i want to pay for roaming for internet i'm not using her phone.
i've heard of some horror stories about costs of downloads so i'll stay away.

Once had a score ew on Darren Clarke (US Tourney 50-1, about 4 or 5 years ago, had a 4 shot lead going into final round - hit water etc.. played like a dud final day wasn't even placed - might have been Honda Classic.) Anyways, a few weeks later met Darren in a bar in Limavady (his bro in law at that time then was based there) and had the pleasure of telling him about my bet. He Laughed and bought me a pint of guinness. (miserable fecker!Laugh). Real nice guy though. Have seen him in that pub again since (F Owens, anybody from the town will know he frequents it when home), though did not acknowledge me, and wasprobably was avoiding me, if truth be told.Laugh. Now if I ever met Pod, he would owe me a ferarri for the past 4 yearsCry.

Confident that Pod will contend this week. Should have got some much needed confidence from winning the slam event. His game has been close all year, this could be the turning point. Also think Bhullar has a squeek at a big price.

After last weeks success with Poulter I did have a closer look at the top of the market again this week but nothing stood out at the prices - in fact one player stood out as being particularly poor - Mickelson is only playing here because of his sponsors and always looks baffled on the greens.
Chris Wood was the first player who struck me as being a touch of value. he finally got the monkey off his back when winning his first event as a pro back in August on a visit to Thailand in Asia. He struggled a bit after that with a few niggly injuries but his 15th at the Dunhill Links was a good performance as he has never played the event well. The only thing that let him down that week was his putter which is quite common for the tall man but he didn't putt too badly on his only appearance at Sentosa in 2010 when 10th. He already has a 2nd and 3rd place finish this season, he warmed up by playing in Dubai last week and is probably fresher than a lot of players 0.3 ew 80/1.
Big hitting Aussie Scott Hend seems to love Singapore - not only has he finished 3rd here but he has also been 4th in the Singapore Classic and then won that event in April. He is in good form having finished 5th and 6th last month and finished with rounds of 67/68 in the HSBC last week. he is more than capable of playing in this quality of field and the early prices were way too big 0.2 ew 200/1 (250/50 Unibet)
Shiv Kapur has also been in good form in the Far East with his last three finishes reading 4/5/4. He has been 8th and 5th here in the past and also got through IFQ at Sentosa and this year is worth a bet as he is acclimatised better than in recent years when returning from Europe 0.2 ew 200/40 Unibet - proofed @ 125/1
Lastly a couple of round one leader bets - Jbe Kruger is one of those players who tends to start well and finish poorly. He has a good recird in Singapore and opened last year with a 65 to lie tied 5th - what was interesting about that was he played the tougher Serapong course first last year and led the half of that field that started there. He was 4th after round one of the Portugal Masters and possibly should have led after round one at the CIMB until double bogeying the last (sorry Ben Coley for bringing that one up!). Last week he started appallingly but progressed well through the week but @ 100/1 he is still worth a small 0.1 ew. I can see local player Chih Bing Lam going well for a round or two - he was right up there back in 08 and has twice got through IFQ playing Sentosa 0.05 ew 250/1.
I have had small dabbles on a few others Liang 130 Karlberg 300 and Zhi Qun Lam for round one @ 500/1
