Which are the players that really need to do well to get in the US RC team?? Sneds, Mahan, Furyk, Fowler and.... thinks theres 3 others?
|
By:
Stricker, Watney, Dustin.
|
By:
And maybe Bo Van Pelt, but an unlikely pick.
|
By:
I would be picking Watney if I was the captain, in form and was great at the Pres Cup last year.
|
By:
Unless anything extraordinary happens this week, I reckon that he will pick Stricker, Furyk, Fowler, and Dustin.
|
By:
Dustin for me this week & maybe Snedeker/Luke.
|
By:
cheers mags

Friday start & Monday finish, Labor day in the US and A.

I have a sneaky feeling that Jason Day may feature this week. I'm on.
|
By:
Like the odds for this event, limited field, not particularly long. you have to like B. Davis at 530s. Huh and Curtis also catch my eye.
|
By:
Davis, like Wilson and Wagner, has really cooled off in the latter part of the year. If he plays like he can 500s will look great, but he hasn't shown much sign of form lately.
I like J-Day as much as the next guy, but 50s? That's half the price of last week, so count me a spectator this week. I'm liking Rory and Rickie's prices this week, so will start my team with them. |

vijajay
2004 champion 2008 champion is it four years yet? ahuh. yes. thanks for coming |
By:
i know the hoff is playing rubbish but i need a good laugh and maybe he can quadruple bogey the first hole for kicks...
that and 'hoff' sounds very deutsche... he'll be in team pokeron with captain ponce, clarky, sneaky sned and vijayjay. |
By:
Taken the 380s on De Jonge - short, flat, go low track for a player who likes short, flat, go low tracks.
|
By:
he does seem to do well for three rounds rhino does fat boy de jonge. get ready to lay the bejesus out of him come monday if well green.
the more i think about it the more i think/feel i have to back tiger and rory at their prices. that is really annoying because i don't want to, but all things being equal, one of those muppets will be $4 sometime during round one....(-3 thru 4). could well change my strategy and go $100 on both tigger and wee boy. that seems less of a headache to manage and with decent returns. lucky i got an extra day to ponder the tough things in life |
By:
Rory is approaching twice the price of last week - to me it's a no-brainer (I might be biased seeing as I got on at 13.5).
|
By:
anne szeker from pgatour.com picked luke donald this week. it's all over for him. poor bugger. didn't even stand a chance before the off.
|
By:
Taken Tim Clark at 70s, on fire at the moment, another solid outing last week and the shorter course this week should suit. Also taken Watney at 60s, too big after his return too form. T61 last year is misleading, was right in it up until he went from memory +7 on one hole in the last round after going in the hazard then grounding his club in frustration. Was dealing with the loss of his grandmother at the time. 60s a ripping price for a trade.

Can anyone tell me why this is a Friday start please?
|
By:
monday finish. Its a bank holiday in the states. This event is always friday to monday.
|
By:
Labor day bank holiday, traditional monday finish.
|
By:
aha thanks guys
|
By:
Glad its monday, cant take the heartbreak sundays anymore...
|
By:
Most will have a lousy Monday instead
|
By:
I've added Oosty to my team. Led the field in GIR last week and that will be a key to success here.
After nixing Eric's pick of Brian Davis at 530s I've jumped on at close to 800s. At that price you can't go too far wrong. Not sure I can take two more days of build up... I'm ready for this now! |
By:
I have boarded the Brian Davis Train @ 800s....
Reg: "If you want to join the People's Front of Judea, you have to really hate the Romans." Brian: "I do" Reg: "Oh yeah. How much ?" Brian: "A lot" Reg: "Right. You're in" COME ON BRIAN.... |
By:
On tim clark @ 70's. Went reasonably big.
Also doing a small tim c / Henrik hed EU / US double. |
By:
Wow... Just noticed that my stake on Brian has been laid off @ 600. Still 10.2k green on him, so that was nice.
|
By:
archie would be so proud

My big worry about backing Tiger is the fact that this course is notoriously easy , by that i mean they are expecting the winner to be -15 to -20 , and that sort of scoring seems way past Tiger at the moment, yes if it's windy, howling with Rain and you need to graft your way around in Par Tiger would be the man every time but he just seems to have lost the game to score 4 low rounds anymore.
Wouldn't surprise me to see another Watney type player win , someone who shoots a low first round and a decent second and then just hangs on when you think he should be falling backwards. |
By:
has anyone got a detailed weather forecast for friday.site i using says going to be windy.
|
By:
If Tigger can put this week he will be in contention. I could have putted better than he did last week lol
|
By:
web simpson seems a big price an keeps drifting any one know if any thing wrong or just not getting backed?cheers
|
By:
No problems with Webb (aside from becoming a father recently - it hurts the golf game), he's just not being backed.
|
By:
Lot of love for tim clark here...he has radar like iron play of late so an obvious choice...nice price...put me down for some of that.
|
By:
timmy!!! clark. sorry keegan
|
By:
Also a backer of Clark and Oosty and added Summerhays at 810! Totally forgotten....
|
By:
ok cheers misss anomaly
