Steve Stricker !
|
By:
must admit he was my second choice
|
By:
Tiger Woods
|
By:
Mighty he said Golfer ffs. not **er ;)
|
By:
Eddie MOLINARI .... NO other comes close 692 to 48th mostly from the Challenge Tour is A feat.. yes Won the Japan Event then the World Cup.
|
By:
eddie a good pick but has hardly had anyone to beat.
|
By:
and Kaymer i will say ive had a substantal Lump Race to Dubai 2010 @ 8/1 gone now ;)
Reasons i think Westwood will play a few more in the states and Rory will play less here I really rate him and hes a VERY good Putter .. |
By:
and just think with his injuries, he missed a fair bit, and he did the superb back to back wins which not many have, thats why hes my pick
and yes Eddie's had a great year only thing, as masch said, unlike kaymer, stricker, he hasnt been up against the very best all year |
By:
masch .. wot are we basing it on ? only when Tigers in the Field.
|
By:
masch happy xmas anyway chap :)
|
By:
no and it's your opinion and he's had a good year. But youo put any decent golfer in the tournaments he played in they would probs get the same results. but to move in the top 50 in the world is a great achievement for a player who mainly played on the Challenge tour.
|
By:
cheers spin. you too. it's a good pick m8 and i wouldn't have thought of him.
|
By:
Tiger Woods player of the year
19 starts 7 wins 3 runners up 16 top tens Its what many call a career |
By:
the hardest win Moli had was in Japan where he held off a rusty Karlsson.
i think i have over estimated Moli. thought he had great bottle but in the 2 S.A. tourny's he's played he hasn't been as good as i thought he would be. |
By:
masch... email me got a couple of ideas for 2010 i will get back
|
By:
email addy...... on the hows your year thread

Mighty Whites 2008 24 Dec 00:35
Tiger Woods player of the year 19 starts 7 wins 3 runners up 16 top tens Its what many call a career 0 majors had his record broken btw how the fu(k did you come up with this stranger. would never have thought of him myself ;) |
By:
well its obvious how i came up with him. The same way the players voted him the best. He had an off year and still managed as many pga tour wins as ogilvy or scott have had in their whole career. If you want to debate who was second best then start a thread. This thread is title who in your opinion is golfer of the year 2009 in my opinion it it tiger woods
|
By:
im messing mighty.
|
By:
next youll be saying Bolton have been the best footy team in 2009 MW ;)
|
By:
i know you are
Woods has been caught with his pants down and in the excitement many people have forgotten how far ahead of the rest he is. The only thing that stopped him being even more dominant last year was his putting and if he sorts that and comes back anything like he will dominate again next year. |
By:
as we havent kept a clean sheet this season i could make a case for us being exciting but anyone who has seen more than 5 minutes of gary's torpedo it as far as you can style of football would quickly rubbish such an assumption..
|
By:
i guess im basing it on a comparison to other years, and Kaymer i feel has massively improved
but ofcourse there is no better player by a million miles than Tiger |
By:
i really like kaymer and could see him dominating europe next year but in terms of the best player their is only one contender. Think i might start a thread world top 5 for end of next season. Could provoke some intersting debate
|
By:
is that who will be the best 5 in the , or who from the positions they already stand in ?
|
By:
who will be ranked top 5 this time next year
id go 1. Woods 2. Stricker 3. Mickleson 4. Kaymer 5. McIlroy |
By:
good shout i would swap 2 and 3
|
By:
mighty, No Westy :0
or Pod |
By:
after a bad first half to the season, Pod was one of the best come the end, could have a good season
|
By:
pod .. its difficult to say how many tournies he will play .. yes i would place him top 5
|
By:
ok change that .. stricker out of top 5 :) bestt come back aggain for 2011 :^0
|
By:
not sure how often will mickleson will play next year and think stricker is good value for a few wins plus he had a good points haul this year. No westwood he was fantastic in Dubai but im never sure of him under real pressure and would expect him to be steady but not spectacular next year. Pod would need a good year next year to retain his standings. In 2008 he won two majors points he will lose next year. Baring the PGA he has done next to nothing in the last twelve months.
|
By:
i'd go ;
Woods (depends how long he's out for) Micko Westy Stricker Pod |
By:
no nazi in there masch ... :0
|
By:
guys, what odds would you give on an Englishmas winning a major in 2010 ? and by englishman, i dont mean Brit
|
By:
no defo be in the top 10 though. just don't see him as a top 5 player... yet
|
By:
i expect McIlroy and Kaymer to have better years than anyone bar tiger
|
By:
Id like to see Ross Fisher really kick on next year and personally feel he is the best hope of a home groan star.
Westwood, Donald, Casey, Fisher, Poulter could all win a major next year. Rose and Wood would be outsiders. With two of the majors at pebble and St Andrews a fit and ready Tiger would be a strong favourite. its possible we will win one or more but probable none. Wish betfair had a market next englishmen to win a major up as i would be laying them all |
