This has turned out to be a fantastic tournament to watch, normally not a huge fan of the birdie fests but I think this is a great course to watch. Awesome greens, nearly as good and fast as Augusta.

Lefty wins..

par, ive given up on trusting any of the par. I used to think there were a few you could rely on but I dont think there are any left. The safest course of action is to assume that any player can buckle under pressure, even, the very best of them

I agree, on current form Lefty looks every inch the best in the world par, Tiger definitely not himself yesterday. Cant comment today as I had a needed lie in.

Well that was fantastic viewing, not sure I enjoyed it though until Micko's 6 inch putt on the last.
What price was Lefty after the airshot and els hit the fairway on 18, thats when I had resided myself to losing, but then I thought hang on a minute this is ernie, he's gotta hit 1 more good shot, oh dear.

Oh and DT I thought this wasn't a so called catch up course, ernie nearly won from 7 back!!!!

Well done phil fantastic putt on 16, great shot on 17 and great putt. Sensibly played the last, great stuff...
Report graycm57 November 8, 2009 6:42 AM GMT
After that airshot I felt like crying, think he went out to about 11?
Report the big bossman November 8, 2009 6:44 AM GMT
did anybody make any money on this let mr guess kr put 70k he won last week on phil never layed off lucky there was nobody with fast picts
Report Take My Money, I Don't Want It November 8, 2009 6:44 AM GMT
Yeah I was suprised he didn't play the bump and run just to the left of the bunker, if he had got it pin high he would have had a 6 footer for birdie, strange play that, but incredible putt. After that putt you just knew he was going to birdie 17.
Report ZAPPER November 8, 2009 6:50 AM GMT
i am daft els losing lost me a £100. but it hurt. micko winning copped me £707.96, i've been**ging ernie off the past few years,, you know licence to print money, my own island, but i've allways been a fan.and i really wanted him to win it. OH BUGGER!
Report double trouble November 8, 2009 6:54 AM GMT
TMMIDWI, well done btw.

I'd allready highlighted that my theory had holes in it...

double trouble 08 Nov 06:41
Blimey :0

Of course, this really isnt a catch-up course...

The stats will actually say that nobody's won from further back that T13 after day one though...

The thing to remember is that they set this up on a Sunday to give them a chance. I assumed Westys round two years ago was a one off - seems not.
Report ZAPPER November 8, 2009 6:54 AM GMT
On a brighter note... good on ya phil. more mental scaring for himself.
Report Take My Money, I Don't Want It November 8, 2009 7:00 AM GMT
What are you talking about I think Lefty showed huge bottle. Going for it on 16, then holing that putt, then birdie 17 then par last. That was shear heart, awesome. Els may have completely outplayed micko today, but when it came down to it, he bottled it, micko didn't...
Report Take My Money, I Don't Want It November 8, 2009 7:02 AM GMT
Thanks DT, will be nice to have a bit of doe for a change. Chelsea to win today?
Report Take My Money, I Don't Want It November 8, 2009 7:04 AM GMT
Should get a nice price on Tiger for next week now aswell, very weak field compared to this week. Will we get 2/1?

Report stewardsenquirey November 8, 2009 7:34 AM GMT
I would imagine Frames will be rubbing his hands together if so.
Report frames November 8, 2009 7:50 AM GMT
He is 2.8 to lay at the moment Stewards.Doubt I will be playing myself unless we have coverage ,I imagine the Hong Kong event will be on Sky though.

So is the Aussie Masters, yes I would take 2/1 if you think Ogilvy is the only other big name in the field.
