Duncan Bannatyne questions

1) Will you be backing or laying?
2) Whats the liquidity on greyhound races?
3) Can you post your 1 year PnL, we need to see your track record
4) Why are you taking a weekly wage? Will you take this even if you do not make a profit that week?
5) What timeframe are we talking of..

Lastly you said
hopefully when i hit £100 grand

An investment is not done on hope AND for that reason....

I'M OUT Grin Grin Grin Grin

Good luck!

Starship,

Your aim is to make a profit of £50k from £50k investment. Add to it your wages of £300 per week which is £15k in a year.. Its much more than £15k actually as you are taking reducing the future value of the money by taking out money every week...

You can go for higher equity or bigger profit share which gives the investor confidence that your aim is to win them money so that you can earn your wages... PLUS it does not erode the bank and leaves maximum for betting..

you have to make it more attractive for potential investors. good luck with your hunt

Theo: "What, you expect me to risk my children's inheritance on this half-baked idea?"

(Duncan Bananyne is keen to drill downinto the figures....)

Dunc: "£300 a week, ya sae? I bought myself 10 ice cream vans with that kind of moooney. So I'm out."

Debra: "Shall I tell you where I am with this....?"

James: "Hi, starship, I'm Jamesssssssss. And I won't be investing, so I'm outttttttt."

Peter: "You're an idiot, and I can't work with idiots."

A 'lively' exchange there in the den.

The very fact you are asking for investors means you can't do it.

I'm out.

Do you have any proof that the 100% growth rate is achievable?
How will the size of the stakes affect liquidity?

Debra quietly sits waiting for a dragon to make an offer. She then offers to go halves.

OK I'll bite.

If you're that sure of returning a profit surely you can find a few hundred quid yourself from somewhere. Start with that and build up to higher stakes slowly.

You're a nice bloke but there's no business here - so for that reason I'm out.

Harsh words from the dragons so far. Will anyone throw him the financial lifeline he so badly needs?
By:

When: 14 Sep 10 18:57
Well I don't think there is enough meat in this to share it with another 9 dragons, so I must declare myself out.   But if you email me I might have a position available in my organisation.

Leaguer has seen something the other Dragons have missed

'I really like it and more than that I like you and that is very important'

'I'm going to make you an offer, but i want 15% of the business'

'If you want to go to the back of the room and think about it'
