Unbelievable decision ,he has dragged them up through the leagues ,lost play off two years ago on penalties to reach Premier, almost reached fa cup final ,lost to Man u on pens ,usual slow start this season but won 2 out of last 3 games ,shocked to the core !!
maybe its a copy of the scott parker situation at bournemouth as after the losing match mark said:
"This group have to get used to the fact that this league is unforgiving and that you have to hit a certain level to have any chance of winning a game. You haven’t cracked it if you’ve won a couple, and you can’t just then swagger into a game like that."
perhaps the board thought it was disrespectful to the club......from the match report he was probably accurate but football management seems to be an unforgiving profession.....

Coventry was on its absolute upper, and he delivered:
▪️Checkatrade Trophy ▪️League 2 Play-Off winners ▪️League 1 champions ▪️Championship play-off final ▪️FA Cup semi-final
Sticky start to the season - and gone. Overachieved for years and clearly a really decent person - and gave the club a loyalty that wasn't reciprocated. Can't believe another club won't snap him up when there's a vacancy - as there always is in football.

was struck by Wolves support last weekend - only initially woke up to boo the team and chant 'you don't know what you're doing' to O'Neil who did a great job last season in difficult circs and had a horrible fixture set to start this season.

Something behind the scenes, 8pts from the first 10 games, then 7pts in last 4 games, something happened during those 4 games as they could have sacked him well before then, probably lined up a new manager and used the Derby loss as an excuse which is looking like Lampard, that will be a mistake. When will these clubs learn top ex players hardly ever become top managers.
Next 3 games are the top 3 in the Championship.
Kind Regards.

Coventry totally outplayed the Town for the whole 90 minutes last week and deservedly came back from 2-0 down to win the game...so let's sack the manager. Crazy.
