he's a liability at the top level, there's a reason why he's spent his whole career in the bottom 6 of the Premier League and why not top European club has come in for him. England have no real outstanding keeper to replace him, I'd have Pope in goal but it's not massive improvement but you'd still feel that bit more comfortable, Pickford can't play it out from the back to save his life, he's an old skool keeper who should be good at stopping shots

If you're looking for a keeper to play it out from the back I can assure you Nick Pope is not ya man !

Ramsdale would be my choice.

Maybe playing a keeper, 2 defeners, 1 midfielder and 7 lads who all want to be the number ten wasn't the best idea.

Before Pickford, when was the last time England had a regular keeper always down there at the bottom of the league, it's very unusual and can't inspire confidence around him.

He's largely been extremely good for England especially in the high pressure of major tournaments..

Pope is a very good shot stopper but is nowhere near as good as Pickford on the ball so if that's a major concern you'd be making it worse with that change.

he is  the  best  English goalkeeper we have for sure. premiership in my opinion best  goalkeeper Emiliano  Martinez. Goalkeepers will always make  mistakes, in a season best  two  goalkeepers who made less mistakes in the premiership plus(first division) David De Gea and one of the  best all round goalkeepers ever Peter SCMEICHEL Plus year's ago Bert Trumann. There you  have it.

Pickford has the concentration levels of a tin of beans and yesterday just showed what we've all known for years

For some reason he's started playing up to the crowds which has left him lacking in basic concentration, i truly believe he's a championship level goalie, never comes for crosses and is reliant upon shots hitting him

Always tries to make out regulation saves are worldies, a spectacular fling and tip it over or round the post.

A proper keeper would be better positioned, more aware and make a regulation catch.

Reason still at Everton is top clubs know this and arent interested in him.

If goalie stays on line it puts extra pressure on
defence to get positions right and can result in
what happened last night if they don't get practice together.
