and all we remember is that penalty miss against France at the World Cup and being completely and utterly useless in both European Championship finals before being hauled off after an hour against Spain when in his prime. Scored 30% of his goals from the penalty spot and barely scored in the knockout games when it actually mattered. Kind Regards.

Never won a trophy because he refuses to show up for finals.

agree, penalties should never count in player stats, 80% are scored. I'd make a new rule, the player who wins the penalty has to take it.

If the forum curse strikes again...?
Baldy shop today, push for Kane 1st goalscorer 7/2
Might have to go back in shop and have a cheeky bet on him

But I agree that he doesn't seem to fit the profile or get the plaudits of someone to join the exclusive 100 club

Been a class centre forward in his time Kane, think it's time to
look for someone else to lead the line for England now though.

I disagree. There isn't anyone better. Toni, Watkins? Really?

*Toney

Watkins much more mobile than Kane.

I think that a fit, on his game, Kane is probably going to get more goals than Toney or Watkins
My concern is that none of them are young
Who's the next one coming through?

Watkins isn't in the same league as Kane. I wouldn't be opposed to them playing up front together but I think the Kane/Bowen partnership is something England should be working on with a view to the 2026 World Cup.

Whippin, you think Kane will still be good enough in 2 years time?
I'm not so sure
But, as I said, none of the 20 or so year-olds around leap off the page as replacements
But maybe one or two may emerge this season or next
Can't see any Michael Owen or Rooney types at the moment

If he's not fit he shouldn't be playing.
By:

Yeah, as long he's still playing in a top European league, he'll be fine, Reg. We don't have any promising strikers coming through the ranks so we'll need him for the next WC, that's for sure!

Kane wants to keep going so he'll be clearly busting a gut to get to the WC. I think he'll do it, but the competition to be first choice will be hotting up over the coming season. Some of those mentioned could well go up a gear, although Toney has probably shot himself the foot with the Saudi move.

Hattrick incoming this evening...well at least one goal anyway! England really should be bolting up tonight.

1/9 so yes bolting up is a given

Winning and bolting up are 2 different things. Should be at least 3 goals better than basically a League 1 team.
By:

the price means the bookies expect a bolting up outcome WP
By:

OK, do you think they will bolt up or just struggle to a narrow win?
By:

2 or 3 up by half time
No more goals 2nd half

So much hype for Kane to score . Here is some value Pukki 22/1 first or last 15/2 anytime .Just for a bit of interest .

Finland already look more capable than Ireland. keep their shape, but know to press the ball when they get the chance and not just let England stroll through them.

England/England ht/ft backers must be getting a bit twitchy.

As short as 1.4 at one stage.
