Uefa is investigating a gesture made by England midfielder Jude Bellingham after he scored a late equaliser against Slovakia at Euro 2024 on Sunday.

European football's governing body says Bellingham allegedly broke the rules regarding "the basic rules of decent conduct".

Bellingham was seen making a crotch-grabbing gesture after scoring an overhead kick in stoppage time.

If so Foden in the 10 role and  Gordon left wing. And Palmer instead of Saka no problem either.
Report mesmerised July 1, 2024 3:41 PM BST
will just be a fine, UEFA wont ban a star player if they can help it, sponsors wont like it. Rice more likely to be banned.
Report PorcupineorPineapple July 1, 2024 3:43 PM BST
Personally think Foden played better than Bellingham on saturday and should start as the #10. But basically they should play one or the other and not both.
Report Aspro July 1, 2024 3:53 PM BST
Tend to agree PoP. Watched a clip showing the average positions of Bellingham and Foden against Slovenia; virtually identical.
Report brentford July 1, 2024 3:58 PM BST
was a tactical ploy 2nd half for Foden to get more central as we weren't creating anything...didn't work of course as we still didn't..

If 2 players are in same space they are easier to mark, kane
kept dropping back too, same space. Could have had a cup of tea.
Report brentford July 1, 2024 4:10 PM BST
Saka the biggest question mark for me...fair play on the other duties he had to do later in the game but in his prime spot he's been absolutely abysmal so far..no way he should still be starting
Report mesmerised July 1, 2024 4:16 PM BST
He's been no better or worse than Kane, Foden or Bellingham, why pick on him, Kane and Bellignham made have scored 2 each but they've also done f all else.
Report ----you-have-to-laugh--- July 1, 2024 4:16 PM BST
Quite a case to play saka on left if you want
Palmer on right.

Easy to switch saka to right if you remember
you picked Gordon in your squad, and bring him
on as a sub.
Report brentford July 1, 2024 4:20 PM BST
Bellingham although far from standout at least drifted past a few players at times yesterday - must have had at least 3 maybe 4 impactful dribbles..Kane is certainly a fair target but there's less obvious top class options there..

Foden hasn't been great for sure but he rarely looks great for England...Saka has excelled in an England shirt at times..looks absolutely gone at the moment..he's played 3 very average LB's and barely beaten them or even drawn many fouls..
Report ----you-have-to-laugh--- July 1, 2024 4:22 PM BST
He'd look better with a runner outside him at times
as he's intent on coming inside as first option.
Report ----you-have-to-laugh--- July 1, 2024 4:25 PM BST
And of course as we have no width left side
there's less space for him on right. He's also
got little option to cross it long so again it's easier to predict.

A little bias there mes... out of the four, Saka has disappointed the most imo. Loved him in previous games, but not in this tourney.
Report The Dragon July 1, 2024 4:34 PM BST
i cant think of an england playerthat has done well tbf
Report mesmerised July 1, 2024 4:43 PM BST
I thought he was highlighting Saka, when he's been no worse than the others, because he was Anti Arsenal, not because I'm being biased, Rice has also been on the same level as the rest, poor. And you are Tottenham Aspro, so you are hardly a neutral observer ffsLaugh
Report brentford July 1, 2024 4:45 PM BST
I'm not really anti anyone generally and certainly not involved in club loyalty nonsense around England players having been at games in the mid to late 90's where Utd players were singled out for booing by a section of home fans at Wembley games...and the same when I was at games where Barnes got the same treatment before that...
Report brentford July 1, 2024 4:46 PM BST
*Barnes being not club related of course..
Report Aspro July 1, 2024 4:46 PM BST
You forget that after Saka was brought on as a sub after that penalty miss he was widely cheered during that friendly with Spurs. When it comes to England rivalry stands aside.
Report mesmerised July 1, 2024 4:50 PM BST
I've said on other threads Saka has had an underwhelming season for Arsenal never mind England and looks half fit, but Kane has been absolutely shocking, even the ex-players come pundits have said he should be subbed earlier or benched, he's literally done nothing bar 2 tap ins any player in that position would have done, but the Golden boy escapes widespread criticism, just like when Saka and Sancho missed their pens, in the black players that get it in the necks.
Report ----you-have-to-laugh--- July 1, 2024 4:52 PM BST
Manager needs to get formation sorted, and they will
all instantly look better players.
Report Aspro July 1, 2024 4:53 PM BST
Not at Spurs Mes, as you yourself must have witnessed. We don't know what's going on in a player's head, what's happening behind the scenes, but the sooner we get an in-form Saka back, the better it will be for England.

Guehi missing is going to be a massive problem
Report impossible123 July 1, 2024 5:44 PM BST
If suspended sobeit; England did not deserve to qualify given their performances so far. I think the just result would have been England losing on penalties yesterday.

I cannot support England until Mr Southgate resigns or be sacked post this tournament.

Looking forward to the explanation as to how a moronic gesture can somehow be considered 'funny'. It was the action of someone who needs to grow up. No excuses for him.
Report lurka July 1, 2024 7:03 PM BST
Bellingham has come out and said it was a private joke with a close friend in the crowd, which probably increases the chances of him getting banned
Report impossible123 July 1, 2024 11:12 PM BST
That kind of private joke in a public arena? Pull another one. An exhibition of immaturity, arrogance and impetuosity.
