everyone's tipping the Swiss yet Italy are still clear favs, two bang average sides which will probably go all the way to penalties
Germany are without Tah and possibly Rudiger, two first choice centre backs, Denmark look strong defensively and look like they know how to generate attacks unlike England, would not be surprised to see Denmark take this to extra time.

So called hand ball rule is a disgrace. Players should now just aim at their opponents arms when in their penalty box - they will get the call 8 times out of 10

The intent of the handball rule was always to penalise players who DELIBERATELY control the ball with
the hand/arm. It was always interpreted that way for in excess of 100 years and has been changed
since the introduction of VAR. Someone is making a bundle of money out of this technology and it
wouldn't be the least bit surprising if some people in authority were on the take.

they'd get the sack...there was a rule that if officials and VAR in the modern game adhered to (at ruling body guidelines) existed for many years (wasn't always accurately interpreted of course) just was attempted to adhere to solves most of the issue..

Its Denmarks one fault for not winning their piss easy group 
that was always an issue but common sense especially with VAR could make it work...
the UEFA (not sure on Fifa) has clearly contained what anyone that has played the game as un-natural when it isn't it for some reason..

I suspect if epl ssn ticket holders were given a vote then a majority would vote for it being binned

1. officials can't go against directive however common sense (to us) so that requires governing body guidance (maybe duffy meant that)
2. Deliberate handball (old school) with I think a reasonable though dangerously vague 'un-natural position' clause was progress to an extent
3.by the time VAR was around the fundamental handball application - especially under UEFA rules now went beyond those remits and so included things that should never have been the remit...such as distance of arm from body, role in effecting play etc

The rule then states that by having their hand/arm in such a position, the player takes a risk of their hand/arm being hit by the ball and being penalised, which implies a duty not to have your arm up and out like Andersen.
It is a bit of a joke to give a 0.79 xG goal chance for what would prob be a 0.1 or less in that scenario. No account is taken of whether a penalty is FAIR.

How come every free kick or corner, as balls comes in there’s a host of fouls going on, but they only become fouls when a goal is scored, trying to find excuse to disallow it

With the var being so accurate,why was the pen allowed as a goal,the player stopped his run up,which is now not allowed,all missed in the chaos.
