apparently Gallagher is going to start, if Gallagher is the answer I don't know what the question is. From what I've seen of both Serbia and Denmark, it feels like a draw, Kind Regards.
I think you need to be drunk to watch any England game, but look at my post close to the top of this page where I stated an England Lay at 1.32 was value

Well done Slovenia. It shows what you can do with organisation and commitment against a side with hardly any ideas at all. Two ways to beat a side like that: take players on, which has disappeared from the game, or pass the ball quickly. England couldn't do either.
In the second half Saka had chances to take on the full back, but just bottled it. Is Watkins injured?
The only positive for England is that the quality of this tournament is terrible, as bad as the last one. It's not going to by won by an outstanding side thumping someone.

Lose Mr Southgate. He's the weakest link. He'll never make a football manager Internationally of Premiership. He's a football fraud. I pity the England supporters.

It’s time for Arsenal to cash in on Saka…he’s good but not elite.
Poor again…
Very overrated player who just gets the attention because he ticks them boxes.

laying eng against den, then laying when wining at 1.31 a nice win.
laying eng angainst slov at 1.35 tonight a good win.
So just more money to made laying engerlund.5.0 at the start, free money.Laying eng against serbia, a small hit.laying eng against den, then laying when wining at 1.31 a nice win.laying eng angainst slov at 1.35 tonight a good win.
Danger from tonight is now going overboard about the substitutes in the way they did about Bellingham after the first match. Yes, they improved things a bit, but none of them were fantastic. Palmer didn't curl that decent chance into the top corner, he squandered it.

Just convey to Mr Southgate and his players one does not win matches by playing the ball backward or sideway; the opposition goal is straight ahead and forward.
I'd like the statisticians to tell me how long does the England team take on average to build/mount an attempt at the opposition goal? It was another dreary game to watch; Serbia, Denmark and Slovenia only managing 5-points. It's pathetic.

The substitutes showed what was possible starting with Mainoo who should have started.
Palmer looked direct from the off and to a lesser extent Girdon in his limited time.
The problem though is fitting them all in. I would not drop Foden, Saka or Bellingham.
Saka got sheite service from Gallagher and Walker.
We are worried about defence hence Walker and Trippier. Now there is a case for TAA at right back and Walker to the left. Probably evolution rather than revolution is needed gif the next game but…….
Pickford
TAA Stones. Guehi. Saka
Palmer Rice. Bellingham. Gordon
Foden
Kane
A not Kate to be trying this but it provides balance and gets the best players in forward positions. Bellingham can play free and drift forward. Foden roving does not upset thd balance from a central position rather than starting on the left. Of course will our defence be solid enough against the better teams?
Whatever we have wasted 2 years. We are solid ag thd back under Southgate’s system but we will attract pressure as we cannot mover thd ball forward with Yrippier and to a lesser extent Walker

Regarding Palmer and Gordon those shouting for their inclusion from the start should remember wide players always look good when they come on, not always the case when they start. However I can see the case for the 'can they be any worse' camp.

True MJK but Palmer isn't your typical winger. He comes inside and plays risky balls forward which when they work can open things up. He looks a good fit with Mainoo.

Ideally you want a couple of stoppers in midfield who can also create. As it is we just have a stopper in Rice, and a load of other players who just want to go forward from midfield. Consequently, they are frightened of being caught out defensively, hence the slow, limited risk football. A slow build up of short passes hasn't worked so they need to come up with something better. Three games in, and they are showing no signs of having the know how, or ability to do that.

i wouldn't see saka as a starter id rather go with palmer or bowen, think mainoo has to start in place of all the other options
one of the issues on the left is trippier isn't supporting so u either need gordon to get round the back or you have to do something radical at left back allowing foden to link up better
playing a conservative sideways approach might work against attacking teams but all the group matches have been park the bus episodes and we've had no one taking players on or getting round the back, on the odd time it has happened we've immediately created chances, bowen, walker, gorden & palmer for eg, doing that then allows runners to come thru and attack the crosses, like bellingham & foden

Serbia, Denmark, are all stodgy sides who wanted a draw, which meant they have no space to England, coupled with the fact England didn't try to make space after going a goal up, against the Dutch they will leave oceans of space for England's creative players so they're performances should actually get better against better sides because even Gareth knows by now sitting back on a 1-0 lead against higher quality opposition is stupid, couldn't have got much luckier than to have the 4 big hitters on the other side of the draw.

Mike has a point. Saka got diddly in the first half. Palmer needs to start however. The problem is the full backs doing the crab shuffle.
Radical but Saka at left back and Gordon wide left. Drop Bellingham alongside Rice. Give Foden the 10.
Going extreme TAA at right back never going to happen unless Walked moves to left.
Plenty of shouting tightly but we played well organised teams with limited ambition. Knockout opens things up. I think we retain ball and move down the field with footballers on the pitch but we won’t win anything with poor distribution from the back.

Nobody to spearhead the attack, Watkins would do that if Kane doesn't fancy it.
We've got to sort out formation though as we are stuck in a lampard/ Gerrard World again.

Southgate extremely arrogant in that he doesn't appear to want to listen to any other ideas.
Has been extremely lucky that his time as manager has coincided with international football at an all time low. A few decent teams around and he would have achieved absolutely nothing.

It is a bit late to be listening to other ideas if you are in charge! He has wasted two years but at least has confidence in himself if not his players.
I agree with your second paragraph. Luck might force him into blending the right team. Two mistakes have been rectified so far and that is progress. Our skilful attackers will have more opportunities against better and more ambitious sides.
We have problems at full back as well as further up the pitch.
Even TAA at right back and Walker at left will help as the first move to get the ball forward quicker.

it did and it also may help the trippier / foden issue on the left so i did wonder if that was a try out rather than tripp being knackered
also then gives him taa to go forward on the right and with palmer for saka you have a really different set up, then u have gordon and saka on the bench to throw in if needed, mainoo has to go in for gallagher
