A good tempo game. Both teams are going for a win. France (4/1 here) has the edge so far. They are so quick on their counter-attacks.

Seriously, you would put him in the same category as the likes of Pele? In the modern game it's all about athleticism, and he fits that bill.

Thought Thuram looked a big sack of spuds last night. Another, along with Saliba, who'll have to be far better as the tournament progresses.

Thuram works his socks off for the team and lets the other attackers play.  I thought France were excellent generally, except Dembele.  Wasn't surprised he was first player subbed and Thuram played the full 90 minutes.  I think he's a very underrated player.

biggest compliment i can pay dembelle is that if i had to choose between him and ANTHONY i,d take ANTHONY

Nearly gave the ball away in a dangerous position at one point but was his usual composed self for the most part, always willing to break the lines. Also hoovered up possession for France.
