We had a few of us take part in the last World Cup. It looks like the rules have changed somewhat since then. Only three transfers now during the group games, then five during the following rounds (not sure if that’s five total or five per round?). I think we had twenty last time for the whole tournament.
They’ve followed the PL Fantasy Football too with giving double points to your captain. Again I’m not sure how often your captain can be changed. They’ve also added a twelfth man to use at some stage.
They seem to be mixing it up a bit now. Tactics will play a part I think. We probably won’t suss the tactics out until the tournament is finished!
Will sort a mini league out soon and post the details on here for anyone interested.

An all the way leader so far, Emit. CB is obviously a shrewdie so he’s gonna be battling you for the win. He’s made some good transfers at the right time.

I thought about Morata as Spain have the easiest game, but reckon he's probably getting 15-25 less minutes on the pitch than the others. Seems a few have him captain and the goal boost, so a couple of goals from him at 20 points a goal will bring them right back in it.
Looks like a lot of us have gone for the same players or team. I’ve plumped for Kane as captain purely because they have an easier game that France.

139! points by 10 German Bombers Is a very tidy score (top 100 / 186,000 ish) in country..
Boosters played is the key in our league... I'm busted, I suspect 10 German Bombers has 2 left! Which would make him a very short price to finish above me....

Yeah, 10 German Bombers came out of nowhere this week. There’s only 50 points splitting the top eight. Still wide open. I’ve still got my 12th man to use. Will probably use it this round.

The penalty miss from Ronaldo, the OG from Le Normand, the post from VVD, and the save of the tournament from Baumgartner. Makes it more interesting anyways
More annoyingly also backed Baumgartner to be top Austrian goalscorer.

the top player has 489 points, so having over 400 points, with no knowledge of any boosters used, means you'd have no idea. But if you ever want some tips for this game let me know, I've made plenty out of fantasy football over the years, always happy to help the little players out, Kind Regards.

An expert at the game like yourself isn’t going to have any boosters left. Would be a poor tactic if you did imo. I’m just a part time novice though.

I’ve had to take a stab at a captain that I think no one else will have as theirs. It’s been a good bit of fun and good luck with the final game.

.. Putting CB29 on Morata and Kane up front... With Kane as his Captain.. Seems like an obvious choice but I wont gain those 6 points by copying that... 
My captain will be one of Kane Bells Saka Olmo or Yamal. If you want to captain someone else be my guest.

If you’re playing two forwards those two are the only choices. Most will have them I suppose. Both probably won’t play 90 minutes though. I’ve captained Ruiz as a bit of a Hail Mary. It’s a shame midfielders and defenders don’t get more points for a goal.
Morata is a nightmare player, seems to get plenty of good chances but manages to miss almost all of them!... Due a change of luck, maybe... If he doesn't make my cut, I hope that change doesnt happen tomorrow.

You’ve just got to do what CB is gonna do. Pick your best team. A six point overhaul isn’t difficult to achieve unless you’ve got exactly the same players. The chasing pack need to gamble a bit. They need two or three live players or a high scoring captain. Not over yet!

Scores were so tight at half time and in the second half I'm pretty sure the lead changed hands several times... Palmer goal made all the difference.. Look forward to the World cup, so I can make a donation to someones holiday fund!

I’m not that keen on The Sun’s dream team. Haven’t played the PL version for probably ten years. There is already a Betfair League running on the fantasy football site, that is just played for fun though.
I’d be happy to set one up on there if a few fancy a season long game for a minimal stake? I’m not sure it would be fair if Mes played though, we’d all be challenging for second place!
