don't ask me how, heard it on talksport, something to do with Atalanta and Dortmund, both in European finals, finishing in certain positions in their leagues, think Atalanta have to finish exactly 5th to let Roma in assuming they lose the Europa final
Maybe it should be renamed the "Mostly-none Champions League"
BM, Leverkusen, Stuttgart and Dmund have all won the title in my lifetime, how many can say the same of Spurs?
Atalanta and Dortmund also have to win the EL/CL. It is now possible for one country to have 7 teams.
This was known at the start of the season and it will be the case going forward too.
The likes of Man U and Newc might have turned up in the CL rather than cry about it but they shouldn't want to be anywhere near that comp again for a while.

Spurs, Villa, Newcastle haven't even won a title this century. 
They have 5 spots and if teams win euro comps but
finish outside top 5 of domestic league then
they could have 6 teams in champs league.
