just think about it.Lionel Messi gets the ball on the half way line,He dribbles past 5 defenders before unleashing a rocket shot as fast as a scud missile into the top corner of the net,but VAR say no goal because the guy standing on the other side of the pitch had his toe offside .And this kind of situation happens every week.

VAR does rather drain the spontaneous excitement out of football.
Some of the decisions being made by var you'd need a law degree to understand, but it's football not a court room.

the good thing if there is one all those involved yesterday players, coaches, reffs, etc new it would be disallowed once they,d seen the replay and DEAN called it, the rules might be wrong but under those rules they all new it would get chalked off, which is what want isnt it

It is a bit like Cluedo. Was it Colonel Mustard in the library with a lead pipe?
Vardo is the new version. Was it the centre half with arm movement towards the ball? Or was it the winger thirty yards away on the wing with the toe of his size 11 boot interfering with play?

The biggest problem is that young children are turning their backs to football in general,if a goal is scored they don't know if it counts or not, they don't know if they should cheer or not,its just like the average football fan i suppose ,but the average fan has a bit of an idea if the goal will stand, but the children of today have lost interest because of the stupid new rules. Football is dying a slow and painful death.

Linesmen being told not to immediately flag offside is a stupid rule. Sooner or later someone will get a potentially career ending desperate tackle, only for play to be pulled back for an offside that the linesman has only been allowed to signal about 10 seconds after it happened. Crazy! Saka, T T-A, Haaland, Foden etc...out for months due to such an avoidable scenario. Maybe then the idiots that run our game will then realise the jeopardy they put the players under with their stupid rules. Leave the decisions to the ref and linesmen as it always was...it all evens itself out in terms of luck over a season anyway!

I was at Luton v Liverpool earlier this season when Town took the lead. Mad euphoria for 15 seconds.....then the intensely dampening effect of standing there for 30 seconds or more wondering if the goal will stand Old days of refs instant decision is final is very much missed in my opinion.
