they don't change prices for individual customers, they'd be the same for everyone, if they wanted to restrict you they'd restrict how much you can put on.

Coventry has just gone 2/9 under and 3/1 over. Completely different overrounds compared with your first screenshot. I’m guessing the prices are worse on the app.

i know kenbo, after nearly 20 years betting on here this is the last straw for me, I don't know what's going on, I have been on chat and they are useless, they also said the new sites have been rolled out for everyone and cannot be rolled back, its absolutely brutal whoever idea it was needs sacking.

Can't be anything other that an attempt to restrict your business can it mate , what's your p/l like on those markets ?
Not sure it's relevant but i've never had a football bet on any site , so i'm seen as a clean punter maybe , i'm guessing.

Ha Ha I got sent an e mail from Bet £3.65 a couple of months ago; more or less the exact same wording obviously with their name on rather than betfair; wonder if there is any connection ?

They send loads of emails about "loyalty" "bonus" and "responsible gambling". I did all 3 and they sent me this one.

Interesting if BF really are offering different prices to different customers.
I have often thought that doing so would be the better solution than stake-factoring.
Rather than showing a price and then refusing to take bets at that price, or restricting to pennies, show the price you are actually prepared to take?

hmmm seems like bait and switch to me. ie the advertised price odds checker/not logged on disappears when the customer requests it (perhaps after having deposited). If the Gambling Commission gave a tiny fck about its statutory obligation to make gambling fair, they would step in and stop the practice.

I’ve never seen a page like the one Xaar has posted. If I look on Sportsbook there’s a lot of yellow, no black or blue. Is that the app? Are other people using the app seeing the same or different prices? I’d have thought tailor made prices for each individual would be difficult to do, it’s probably not as hard as I first thought. Xaar can’t be a lone case in this.

kenbo its the new site it was rolled out to 50% of customers, ive been on chat and they confirmed its permanant and everyone will have it soon, its one of the worst ideas ever and whoever is over it should be sacked, its far harder to navigate, for me i back 1.5 goals market a lot and you need to go into each game to get odds, weird thing is it has been going back to old site the odd day and i get normal prices but this past few days stuck on new one, this has gone on for about 6 weeks or more.

TBF even the ‘good’ o1.5 prices are terrible. You’d need to backing plenty of them in an acca to get any kind of price worthy of a punt. Of course that just higher the chances of throwing in a 1-0 or 0-0. Not a bet I’d ever bother with.

Xaar, I'm on the new website too, but presumably you don't actually bet on the sportsbook, just use it for looking at prices? I mean their prices are some of the worst I've seen. You can use oddschecker or other bookie sites to look at prices.

kenbo im a glutton for punishment lol ive backed these kinda bets for years, 20 fold mug accas you'd be surprised the amount of times you will win or get into a good cashout position, do 2.5 btts as well.trevh i have for years they are the same for what i bet on more or less, whos better in your opinion.

Xaar, personally I wouldn't use any bookmaker, but if I did I would check around to see who's offering the best price.
Does anyone actually make long term profit from a bookmaker? Must be one in a million?

longbridge • March 8, 2024 11:23 AM GMT dave - how is that worse than showing a price (logged out or logged in) and then refusing to take bets at that price?
Apparently the legality of that is based on contract law, offers/counter offers. And clearly the punter hasn't been disadvantaged by the refusal to take the bet. Giving individual prices that are lower than the market is grossly disadvantaging the punter, is exploitation and should breach the ukgc's statutory objectives.

A 20 fold acca at average odds of around 1/10 only pays 11/2. I wouldn’t want to try and land 20 legs for such a small return. I’ve no doubt the o2.5 and btts accas pay much much more.

Interesting thread. I can't shed any light on why you're getting different prices. I just wanted to say that the new website is a giant steaming pile of elephant shyte. Whoever designed it needs dragging out and hung from the nearest tree.

AKsooted agreed and i bet they were paid handsomely for it one of the main reasons I used betfair is the site is great this will end it for me, I don't know how other users feel because the forum is so dead, be great to hear other input.
