How did we go from Klopps leaving present and corruption to blood money Confused

I know that however; we are talking about corruption in Liverpools favour; what has that got to do with Newcastle

You need to look closer at your billion pound team and stop making excuses, make the most of your 10th place because when you get docked 30pts you'll be back down a division and you might be able to bring back all those disabled cars you had down that far end..

tbf Liverpool had the worst called VAR game of the season at Spurs
Report Bish Bosher January 31, 2024 11:19 PM GMT
Can't argue with that but that has now been nullified by about half a dozen dodgy decisions that have went their way since then

Roman blew everyone out of the water with cash that everyone knows that didn't exactly come from pure sources

You had a great run, now it's over, even with the billionaire Yanks in charge, those people don't know what they're doing, came in like a bull in china shop, sacked all the people who did know what they were doing, signed anything tht moved, payed silly money for players from Portugal and others nobody had ever heard  and nobody else was coming close to matching in transfer fees, tied down players for a stupidly long time just to get around FFP, when most of them are absolute duds.

I felt sorry for Potter, he had the short straw of being the first man through the door to deal with all that nonsense above him, unfortunately for him, he was not a big enough name or character to be anything other than a yes man, because no manager of substance or standing would ever have agreed to all of those players coming in, so many players in the dressing room there was no space left and some were getting changed in the hallways, imagine trying to manage the training session. Potter was simply the fall guy for the daft Boley getting everything wrong and passing the blame onto him, now Poch is trying to clean up his mess - not Potters.

I would not be surprised if they sacked Poch without realising he is actually a good manager, if they stick by him and given him a couple of years to get his squad through the door and move on dross like Badiashile, Jackson and Broja who are not Chelsea level players, as well as sick notes like James and Fofana, Cucurella and maybe even Chilwell, he will get them back in the top 4 and challenging again.

Would also not be surprised if they bring in Mourinho for the start of next season.

VAR operators fed Stevie Wonder singing you'll never walk alone, and fields of athenry to relax them during video reviews during last night's game.

Nothing unusual there...

The 2 non var things last were probably pens I reckon, but there’s no getting away from Chelsea being totally outplayed for most of the game. Looking at Macallister 45m and Caceido 116m possibly, can see who’s got the best deal there. Still got the same money being spent as back in 2004, bit new owners are clowns so far

agree if the Jota one was given then the Chelsea one should have been or both not given

Like Childwell Gallagher was lucky not to be booked for diving as he was on his way down before the minimal contact

Liverpool have had some terrible VAR decisions this season - the offside has been mentioned and we had curtis jones sent off in the same in the same match

Ive bet weve had more apologies than most clubs for bad referring decisions this season - probably wolves the most though
Report lurka February 1, 2024 10:50 AM GMT
Jones sending off was a clear red
Report rothko February 1, 2024 10:55 AM GMT
not based on similar decisions given as yellows
It was an incorrect use of VAR as a yellow was given and it wasnt a clear and obvious error
Report loui February 1, 2024 12:05 PM GMT
Not disputing Curtis red, he was a bit unlucky with his foot sliding over the ball, but seen a few similar tackles recently in in premier lge and none saw red . Brighton had 3 apologies last season
Report nineteen points February 1, 2024 12:59 PM GMT
liverpool involved in lots of offside decisions as a result of their long ball game.

it depends on what the ref told the VAR he saw. He can also be called to the monitor for a 'serious missed incident'. If the VAR asks him did he see Jones strike the shin or high up on the leg and he says no. That is likely what happened here. Clear and obvious doesn't come into it then.

Klopp knew what he was doing when he had the rant after the Spurs game, now decisions going their way on a Ferguson/Utd level, some achievement in fairness.

it also helps him being in the 4th officals underpants the whole game.

there you go - it must be true if the daily mail have researched it

According to a report in the Daily Mail, Liverpool has encountered the highest number of adverse VAR decisions, enduring at least four instances where VAR rulings were deemed erroneous.

Following Liverpool, Brighton and Wolves share the second position, each experiencing three erroneous VAR decisions. Arsenal occupies the fourth position, having suffered from at least two incorrect VAR rulings.
