Not so delighted for those with "cheaper" seats that will pay same price as me.
The cheapest season ticket is £417,and most expensive £1,045. All of these will pay £55 per game for their own seat in champions league.
This is the problem for me.

I paid a monkey for a season ticket at S.P. and that's tremendous value to me.
In comparison I went to a midweek fixture at Fontwell a few months ago, and it's a right scruffy gaff these days, and that was £41 sovs.
Me personally, I'd give my left nut to pay £55.00 to see Palace play in the Champions League.

Of course their sponsors are bigger and newcastle must boost revenue because of ffp implications if They want to progress.

I'd say pot 2 is actually slightly stronger than pot 1, much of a muchness
Would Hope Arsenal draw either Benfica, Seville of Feyenoord from pot 1, even PSG who are not all that
Newcastle could be a group of death with Bayern, Real Madrid and possibly Milan
I remember the 3-3 game against Barca, what I didn't remember til recently is that both of them failed to qualify from the group

Psv finished 2nd in group and also did not reach next stage.
6 groups, winners and 2 best 2nd place made knock outs.
You remembered an extra goal for barca.

Wiki could be right but I've seen other sites where we are locked in pot 4 with 3 others. With a few others dependant on qualifiers
We only have national coefficient so can't see a route to pot3.

Beating barca and juve at sjp were 2 magnificent nights, although if they were regular occurrences the magic may be lost.
Saw George best as a kid at sjp, you are correct there would have been bedlam if ref had sent him off, I think everybody wanted him to notch in a 5-1 defeat for him.

How much do you Northern monkeys pay for fish and chips?
Presumably because you lot were genetically bread to keep the Jocks out you don’t have heating bills to pay for so what is your beef with £55?

Heard this on talksport the other day, sounded unbelievable... Apparently at Messi's Miami stadium, the matches are all sellouts The cheapest ticket is nearly 400 dollars, restricted view! It's about 14 k for a top seat and 150k for a box.!!!
Unless someone on the show has got their sums wrong

£55 to watch newcastle play those games is really great value, if you consider basic economic laws
If it was £100 the stadium would still be full.
Top level football is one of the most in demand entertainement products in the world, but far from the most expensive.
A top Broadway show will likely set you back $250 dollars.
I know that fans don't see it as an 'entertainment product', especially if you were going to Newcastle games when they struggling to stay out of the lower divisions.
But it is the reality, and I don't see any proposals to change it.

Eng v New Zealand t20 at Durham was £70,so I didn't go.
As a footnote to my original post, I recieved an email a few days later telling me my seat was in fact £60 for champs league. Bars and Platinum club all £60. seems fair enough.
Man City in league cup, £20,but could be reserves, As of course, could later champs league games if chance to qualify has gone.
Paid £60 ish to see The Commitments at Newcastle City Hall.

Newcastle must also submit a 'List B' if a player is born on, or after, 1 January 2002 and has been eligible to play for Newcastle for two years since his 15th birthday. Elliott Anderson and Lewis Miley have been named on the 'B list'.

There is a clear divide between pub prices in the North and South, where drinkers in the County Durham town of Consett only pay £2.65 for a pint, according to analysis.
and still they moan when they have got the most magnificent Champions League draw with 3 great teams visiting the Toon and 3 great away jolly boys to look forward to too!

Seems the fans are happy with a murderer that kills journalists but think it is sooo unfair that tier 7 have to pay £55?
Great nights to look forward to home and away. I remember Columbiana's hatrick against Barca. £55.... lest we forget!

I'm aware of the difference in a one day international top ticket v Australia, and a group stage champions league game. It's just a bit of matter of fact. No real comment as to best value or enjoyment factor.

Apparently Harry Enfield got his "loadsamoney" routine from Chelsea fans attending St James's and waving twenties around as they taunted the Geordies who;d all recently lost their jobs. Nothing remotely funny about people losing their livelihoods but hey that was the eighties that Thatcher created when people happily jeered at other's misfortunes. Hopefully most Newcastle fans can afford to watch their club today.

Loadsamoney was a parody character who Enfield got from Thatchers Britain.
Still today we have a food bank collection at the match which is well supported by home and away supporters attending sjp. And well used by those less fortunate in Newcastle and elsewhere.

My son paid £90 for Arsenal against Spurs. I told him that in 84/85 the top price ticket was £6 @ Villa Park. and that I recall standing at either Leeds or Middlesboro and it was 60 pence! (must've been around 1980). In Fulham's new stand it is £150!
