The beloved golden boy getting a pass in the press.
I always thought it so off how Daniel Levy used to walk around the players dining area having chats with players totally undermining the managers in that amazon doc. This was confirmed recently with the Kane interview where he admitted having the ear of Levy.
He is the problem at Spurs.
A professional bottler
Bottled the pen at the WC Bottled the transfer to City by employing his brother as agent
He is like Shearer at Newcastle. Comfortable and has no interest in competing or winning.
What stands out is his stats this year. His goal scoring is great but 3 assists is awful for a player who supposedly is great at linking up play. He contributes zero defensively (along with Son) who watch as their team mates get torched weekly.
Lloris at least had the guts to defend his team mate when he was being booed coming on a few weeks back. Kane said nothing. Cowardly behaviour.
I'd say his team mates despise the Golden boy getting a pass by his mates in the English media.
Blame his brother for the lack of a buyout clause rather than Kane. Lack of assists largely down to other players like Son and Richarlison being well below par. Kane has carried them both but let's focus on him

Kane's tried a bit too hard and gets out of position too much, imo, what's point of helping out defence and playing down both wings when he's such a great goal scorer.
He's had another good season for goals scored whilst doing all that, but team suffers.

Richarlison very over-rated imo. Kane and Son real class and how a side can have such prolific goalscorers and continually win nothing is a a result of average management. But of course no manager can recruit if the guy with the purse strings doesn;t have football success at the top of his agenda. Finally, how Dier has continued to be a seeming fixture on the team sheet says it all. Play average players and you get average results.

Son is real class? Hes been a disgrace this year obviously sulking cos conte was calling him out.
As for Kane it's some laugh him going on about a philosophy at Spurs. He knew well when they didnt invest after reaching a CL final that his time at the club was done and the club had little ambition to spend.
Its nuts any Spurs fan wants to keep him or Son. They are wrong side of 30 soon. Bank the money and reinvest on young talent. Keeping Kane shows no ambition to improve only keeping a star padder.
He doesn't work hard enough.

kane this season 6 goals v the top 5 clubs inc pens, no goals in the champs league defeat v ac milan,no goal in fa cup defeat at sheff utd( ok he was sub), no goals in defeat league cup v notts forest , vastly overated scores a lot of goals in meaningless matches

He doesn;t work hard enough!? You have to laugh. He does what all strikers should do and sticks the ball in the back of the oppositions net. With frequent regularity. He is also regularly accused of dropping back too much to get the ball in midfield. And for you that is laziness?

What exactly does he do when he "Drops Back"?
3 Assists is woeful and he contributes zero defensively. I rarely see him drop back in any meaningful way. He definitely doesn't press the defenders etc..
Look at his goals this season against the Top 5.....

HK Goals : 6
1 Pen 1 goal against Liverpool when already 3-0 down 1 goal against Newcastle when already 5-0 down 1 goal against Newcastle when already 2-0 down at home 1 goal against Liverpool when already 2-0 down at home
That leaves 1 single goal against City where his goal actually had some influence or effect on the game.
He is a stat padder. Take his meaningless goals out and he contributes nothing.
He is 30 and he still couldn't displace lloris as Captain. That tells you everything about his "Leadership". The fact the club have to make up a position ("Vice Captain"....WTF even is that? LOL) is laughable.
Vice Captain for an absolute incompetent who tried to down tools to get a move to City LOL. His mates in the media gave him a pass on that as well with zero criticism for his behaviour.
Souness has him absolutely nailed on. He looks after Harry no.1. He is a terrible team mate. He never digs a team mate in trouble out. Heung Son Min is even worse. Even the Amazon doc showed Lloris having a go at him for not working hard enough.

You can't blame his brother only for not inserting a release clause, he would have informed Kane that was the case and Kane would have accepted it, both stupid, Levy must have laughed his socks off dealing with these numpties rather than proper hardened agents, family members being agents is a bad idea.

Admittedly Kane hasn't got the best record against top internationals teams, but who has? They're top sides because they're good or even the best and don't easily concede to anyone, let alone Kane.
From the stats I've seen he's failed to score against Spain (2 games), Netherlands (2), Portugal (1) and Belgium (3), but he has scored against France (3 goals / 3 games), Germany (4 / 4), Denmark (1 / 3), Croatia (1 / 4) and Italy (1 / 5)
...and you consider that "very poor" against elite teams elisjohn? I feel that's quite respectable myself.
Agree with you mes... terrible idea.

Conte is a bigger mug than all of them put together.....a manager who requires top players and top money to create his title winning teams so he signs up to the Spurs project, ......and then moans about it...what did he expect was going to happen ffs!!!!!.

Souness used to regularly bench Ally McCoist. Says all he knows about strikers. Ally banged them in for years after Souey took the huff and pi$$ed off away from Ibrox! If I met him I would ask him whether he would have dropped Ian Rush or Robbie Fowler for looking after No.1? I would also ask him if he agreed with Bob Paisley's ethos that when in doubt Rush should just pop it into the back of the net then discuss later whether he should have passed it to a ream mate.

When Kane drops back he often provides the impetus for an attack; sometimes it is a direct assist, sometimes the creation of a build-up of play where someone else takes the credit for the actual assist. He would probably have got quite a few more assists if Son didn't have a poor start this season.

If a goal is meaningless unless it it puts you in front or equalizes, then Haaland is a waste of space too probably.

Newcastle (A) scored 1 but were 1-3 down. So like Kane's at home to Newcastle, doesn't count. United (H) scored 2, but neither count as they were already 3-0 up. Arsenal (A) scored 1 but don't count as they were 2-1 up. Arsenal (H) Scored 1 but doesn't count as they were 3-1 up.
So by the criteria introduced on this thread Kane - with his winner v City - is better against top teams than Haaland.

My lasting memory of Kane is of him diving as if taken out by a sniper when someone touches his laquered barnet. It's absolutely ridiculous that it's not an automatic yellow card for premeditated cheating.

Have to agree with sofaking, how on this planet can a Crystal Palace fan criticise anyone for diving?? Mind boggled here...
Kane is one of the top 5 Greatest English strikers ever..

Mock me all you like people, Wilf"Twinkletoes" Zaha is the undisputed most fouled player in the history of the Premiership. So stick that in your pipe and smoke it.

It was odd any other palace player got fouled and free kick awarded, Zaha fouled and ref didn't. want to know.
Very odd.
Same game where var ruled out own goal for willock push.

I've seen lots more challenges allowed this season But Zaha has had to put up with them for years.
St maximin had similar problems with teams wanting to kick him off pitch, and refs barely giving a foul.
