Lose to the bottom team today taking only one point from their last three games.

Looks to me like a sinking ship.

Can see the EFL wanting to keep them and Derby in that league for a bit, both have big followings esp away from home their good for exposure in that league
Report seaside March 26, 2023 8:09 PM BST
Derby will be in it next year if they don't go up via the playoff
Report SontaranStratagem March 26, 2023 8:18 PM BST
Derby wont even make the playoffs theyve been shyte since mid January
Report brians March 26, 2023 11:29 PM BST
Don't write Wednesday off.. they have none of the top teams to play in their next eight matches. Still only evens on here to WIN League One.
Report Flemenstar March 26, 2023 11:45 PM BST
still waiting for Plymouth to chuck it.

a shame Ipswich and Barnsley's game in hand is against each other, would be fun to get a 4-way go going into the last couple of games
Report SontaranStratagem March 27, 2023 12:03 AM BST
Barnsley do have a game in hand over Sheff and Ipswich as well though, 2 over Plymouth, Barnsley could yet win the league in my opinion

A fair shout don't, got momentum at the crunch bit of the season. Away to Exeter midweek.
Report SontaranStratagem March 27, 2023 10:34 PM BST
Sheff Weds go 4 games without a win with their tiredness problems and theyll probably fall apart and finish 4th
Report Coachbuster April 23, 2023 10:50 PM BST
been a great league this season Sontaran , 3 teams battling for 2 places , Plymouth keeping it going ,credit to them .  Derby need another year i think , not sure whats happened at the Wednesday .
Report SontaranStratagem April 24, 2023 12:05 AM BST
I think Derby will sadly storm it next season coach, if they dont go up via the playoffs this season

With Ipswich and Plymouth gone and three cr@p sides replacing those, and if Barnsley go up as well theres not any decent side to challenge them really, possibly Sheff Weds if they sort their sh!t out in the summer

Warne will get the few missing players he needs and get it done for them

The way Ipswich are going they could be challenging for promotion in The Championship next season

In their last 13 games they have 35 points 35 a GD of +32 and a Goal Average of 17!!!

Ipswich deserve it no doubt about it. Their fans deserve some good times as well so Im pleased for them theyve suffered some dross for years

They will challenge top 6 in my opinion, Sunderland pushing for top 6 this season so they can as well esp with their attack

Mckenna will be better next season as well

To score 34 of the last 36 h2h goals is astonishing.
Report Coachbuster April 24, 2023 10:00 PM BST
Sontaran, Ipswich fans  as excited as they've been since the premier league days and way before that -goals flying in  , the dross served up by Mick when he was there was wretched  ,mid table Championship /or relegation dodging  and gates below 20,000 . Barnsley the final frontier ...will be shades of  the play off final 2000 lol  ..... Hopefully so Clydebank ,but some good teams next year in the Ch'ship   ,possibly Everton too Laugh

Derby next year yes ... they're my pick . Sunderland this year have done brilliantly .
Report Coachbuster April 24, 2023 10:17 PM BST
Clydebank , the Wrexham and Notts county situation is mental  .. would be typical for Notts to come undone in the play offs .

Are you a fan of your club across town Sonts  ?   just across the river i think
Report SontaranStratagem April 24, 2023 10:54 PM BST
I do follow their results coach and it's time they came back into the football league so hopefully they do it. Don't lose sleep if they balls it up though lol, although their points total should give them a promotion place I mean imagine it if they get done at Wembley ouch

I do feel a bit for Sheff Weds 96 points possibility and could get done to a side they finished 20 points clear off Crazy but their choking when it mattered can't be excused either

Derby for me now look the form team heading into those playoffs 5 unbeaten and starting to look better again.
Report SontaranStratagem April 24, 2023 10:57 PM BST
But I can see Derby benefitting from another season down there, build on what they've got and Warne adding more of his own players to it. 100 points promotion will breed confidence throughout the club.
Report CLYDEBANK29 April 25, 2023 9:50 AM BST
I don't think The Championship is that strong.  70 points will make the play offs.  Watford and Norwich are awful.  Both sacked their (decent imo) managers and got even worse.  Players just aren't any good.  Middlesboro, if they don't go up, look the best of the current bunch, but will they have Cameron Archer and Aaron Ramsey?  Assume it's Forest, Saints plus one going down.  Imagine the plus one will be strong favourites.  Who will still be there and what will their financial status be?  Forest like Chelsea bought too many players in.  Leads to unrest imo.
Report CLYDEBANK29 April 25, 2023 10:14 AM BST
Rob Edwards wins L2 with Forest Green last season.  Edwards leaves and this season Forest Green rock bottom with the worst record in the Football League

Watford sack Edwards and pay compensation (after 10 league games)  Only lost 2 of them and they played Burnley Boro Sheff U and WBA in those.

Southampton pay Luton compensation for Nathan Jones.  He quickly gets fired.  Edwards then goes to Watford's nearest neighbours Luton, improves them and gets them in the play offs.  Laugh

Make that 37 scored 2 conceded in Ipswich's last 14 games.  A goal average of 18.5!

Both on for 100 points and should do it now

Sheff Weds must feel quite deflated as 90+ points isnt to be sniffed at its a fantastic points haul and yet they want Moore sacked…

Some fans always want the Wednesday manager sacked for the slightest flaw, thats the result of having spent more than 2 decades out of the Prem, which if anyone who happens to know Wednesday is where they should be on support, and how much the following gives up in that support.

Needless to say, he will probably hang if we dont get through the play offs.
Report dustybin April 29, 2023 7:22 PM BST
....and tbh, will hang if we do.

Moore is a L1 manager

Remarkable that Ipswich probably won't win the league with a season long goal average of 3.  Plymouth's is 1.71
Report SontaranStratagem April 29, 2023 10:31 PM BST
If there's any justice Wednesday will go up at Wembley

Derby and Bolton are way behind them

Barnsleys form has tailed off
