in the space of 18 months we've gone from closed shop to open competition, 12 teams to 80 with the bottom line still being the same, the richest clubs getting richer with a format that has no appetite from the fans, who wants to watch another league on top of the domestic one rather than a knockout competition, they'd be a lot of dead matches towards the end when teams realise they can't win it and can't get relegated, that already exists in national leagues. It's not an improvement on the Champions League at all it's just a new format they think will make the elite clubs more money and to wrestle power away from UEFA who cap their revenue streams in effect. In laymans terms it'll be as s*** as the Liv tour in Golf

They seem so misguided but this is an attempt to take more clubs with them.

English clubs and fans need to realise that going into this just means rival euro clubs get a slice of what is now PL revenue but will become ESL revenue and they will lose their financial advantage and see the demise of the PL and domestic game replaced by something not as entertaining which is already there.
It is being pushed by billionaire owners who don't need domestic fans any more and 3 broke euro clubs desperate for a bailout. 2 of them had to relinquish their 50% stranglehold on domestic rights in 2016 and share them with the other teams in Spain and they have been in dire financial straits since. The other has been cooking the books for years to try to compete.
Fans need to get invoved here. The same people pushing the breakaway are pushing this. They have no interest in what fans want and there will be no turning back once it goes ahead. They paid for co-ordinated, favourable media coverage the last time and it will be the same again here.

That is actually the main point, the Premier League IS the Super League. There's is no call or hunger for a European Super League whatsoever amongst fans.

EPL.has run its course,boring and predictable, money sloshing,players who dont give a fook about the paying public including Sky/Bt subscribers.Managerial merry go rounds etc etc

Are they hoping that Man City get kicked out of the PL, perhaps starting a snowball effect with PL clubs leaving to join them in the new ESL? Nothing would surprise me.

Fans in England might not want it but the owners do - don't forget six clubs signed up last time.
Money will win out in the end and a European or a World Super League will happen eventually.

It will end up happening and theyll attempt to trademark the game entirely so there cant be any competition at all ie domestic leagues
Its our league or nothing will be their demand. You need to remember these parasites dont want competition they want a monopoly

Its not the super league that bothers me itll be the total stealing of the game by way of trademarking the fooking thing and the flock just going right along with it because its the little old me what can I do wimp attitude
