Newcastle badly lack pace. Isak looks a serious player linking up with others when dropping deep and a massive over all threat when dropping out wide or through the centre. I'm not sure Howe trusts St Maximin to put in the hard yards hence him going with Joelinton and theres been rumours of a falling out etc..

They badly need a Left Wing Forward with pace. I know plenty won't but 30m for Anthony Gordon wouldn't be bad. A swap deal for St Maxi would suit everyone. He is being dragged down by an awful Everton team and has potential. He also has pace.

Southampton looked a Championship side in all but name. Passing side of their game was woeful.

Suspect Jones is there to get them promoted next year.

SS "Its a bit puzzling they aint hammering someone at the minute they keep creating chances"
Technically Joelinton and Longstaff can't shoot a football. I don't think any amount of practise can help either.

Wilson isn't up to speed at the moment. Isak should start.

Joelinton scored 2 last night, one incorrectly ruled out.

Blazed one over bar on wrong foot after ball deflected
off defender on way to him.

Not sure 2 goals in away leg of semi is worth criticism
despite glaring miss.

His goal followed a good run into 6 yard box which
was one of his failings when he arrived at newcsstle
and was played as a target man no 9 by Bruce.

Longstaff has been previously solid with his shooting.

Dunno why he's blazing everything over bar.

my stats are for this level  not Scottish Seasiders or boys clubs. He will be the first to be dropped when any more money is spent.

Longstaff scored 1 expected 2.81

Are you mixing him up with somebody else?

He's not in team to score goals, but I think
he gets moved on within 18 months.but nowt to
do with his finishing.

He has shown good shooting ability previously.

In that case he has 12 from 122 in the PL, plus 5 in the League Cup and 1 in the FA Cup.

Why would England caps have relevance to your argument

He plays a position for Newcastle that Southgate doesnt
play for England.

Not really an argument I just think he's poor. You clearly think he's excellent.  I'm sure many would say he's only selected for local connection.

Ha ha now having lost the argument you are creating things
I havnt said.

Why make stuff up to hide your failings?

You merely highlight them.

Joelinton is a good footballer in certain aspects. Ball winning, work rate, even his passing has improved but he should score more goals than he does and his finishing is awful. He gets in decent enough positions and I dont think 10 goals in the league per season is alot to ask but he is on par this season for 4 which is rag return if the team is aiming at Top 4

As far a Premiership footballers are concerned there isnt anyone other player I woud have in my team for just £43,000 per week wages, low by todays standards. Gives 100% every match.
