I make a point of saying England because its not a thing in Scotland/Wales/NI

There getting ridiculous. We had one on Tuesday after the shootout, Sharp attacked and for what a semifinal win..

Now Everton

Dont get me wrong Im glad for them but it seems its a to do thing nowadays and players and managers are getting confronted and attacked as well and its usually for nothing but making a final or avoding the drop ffs

Didnt see it after Rangers made the EL final and they had good reason after being almost excint only 10 years ago and found themselves in the fourth tier

Just say for every 10 fans on the pitch you will be deducted 1 point.

So Everton fans would have got themselves relegated.

It sounds worse in the lower leagues esp the championship for the aggression though

The prem does seem to be a bit more laid back

I think its a definite drug related problem and a lack of security as well

I see Viera in the news.

I'd happily see Everton deducted points for last night. It was an absolute disgrace.

The pitch invasion at the end of the Everton game is perhaps understandable but not the one after Everton's third goal. It wasn't only fans but the entire Everton bench. Very intimidating for the away team.

Your last point is key. Everton should have points deducted.

Fans often come onto the pitch after their team escapes relegation, not an English thing. Stewards should have escorted Vieira off seeing as the away dressing room is located in a car park across the pitch. Wouldn't be an issue if they did that and not the first time fans have interrupted at Goodison this season, so they should have known.

Becoming the norm now ,the fans belong on the terraces ,its just over exuberance but there will always be nutters amongst those that invade the pitch ,a danger to the players /ref .What if it spread to other sports ? Federer converts matchpoint at Wimbledon ,and hundreds of people run onto the court ?There has to be boundaries for spectators ,but if people see they can get away with something ,theyll do it.

Pitches were being invaded 60 years ago so nothing new about this.

easy cure, no fans from Forest or Vale to be allowed at their finals.

Regarding the Patrick Vieira incident at Goodison ... I notice that they are showing the film of a couple of idiots goading him.. But they cut the film when it looks like a few sensible Everton fans are stopping the idiots and helping to chaperone Patrick off the pitch.

I'm not condoning these fools that run onto the pitch.... Merseyside fans in particular should have more sense and understand why the fences were taken down

for every pitch invasion city should be deducted 3 points

Christian Benteke reported that he had been slapped in the face during the first pitch invasion.

Surely Everton must be held to account for this conduct which is absolutely deplorable.

Hopefully the Patrick Vieira incident will blow other. Maybe just a couple over over excited Everton fans after what must have been a hell of a match for Everton fans to watch? Patrick should have known better than to get involved though, as assuming the fans didn't threaten him with physical violence, they didn't break any laws, his actions might be looked at as violent behaviour though.

Actually somebody just told me invading football pitches is a criminal act in England.

Why don't they put up prominently displayed signs on the pitch perimeter saying 'No unauthorised perso ns beyond this point' ?
By:

The problem is their coked up or tanked up

Men coked up is not something you wanna get yourselves involved in esp if theres a mob of them , trust me

Theres a video on twitter of someone getting right in Vieras face giving him the finger and bellowing “you fooking cu*t fook off” aggressively as well

They aint running on the pitch in relief some of these blokes trust me, they want a fight with the opposition player or manager

It might have to come to clubs netting off thhe front 3 rows of the stands?

I know Forest have discussed this after Sharp

S.S. Sniffer dogs should be made compulsory at football grounds and also racetracks as well come to that. Tanked up on booze and Charlie is not a good mix to put it mildly.

They drink and snort I think

A Millwall lad told me they do both because they cant do charlie without a drink (dunno why but I dont do either so cant say)

We have it at Forest its a big thing now. It aint just the men either the younger women are doing it as well.

They have sniffer dogs at The Den, I went about 5 years ago and there was a heavy police prescence and dogs. At Selhurst you hardly ever see a rozzer let alone German Shepherds!  Laugh

Are there any odds on the number of Leeds fans on the pitch at Brentford on Sunday ? Under/Over 1000 , I'm going over

The only real way to stop this or at least make people think is serious punishment for the clubs.
Four case in just over a week.
Each club should be demoted two divisions and placed bottom of the league with all prize money withheld.
If it is going to cause them hardship sue their fans who invaded the pitch.

The police use batons and pepper spray on the Continent.  A friend of mine got caught up in such an incident in only his second visit to a match but now describes himself as a seasoned fan. Plain
