Punter who put £100 on Liverpool to win quadruple has been given incredible cash-out offer
We’re in the middle of May and Liverpool’s dreams of winning the quadruple are still alive.
On Saturday, they lifted their second trophy of the season as they defeated Chelsea on penalties in the FA Cup final.
Less than 24 hours after their FA Cup triumph, Liverpool’s chances of winning the Premier League increased dramatically as Manchester City could only draw 2-2 against West Ham.
Jurgen Klopp’s side know that if they beat Southampton on Tuesday, they will go into the final day of the season just one point behind Man City.
The Reds host Wolves next weekend while City face Aston Villa at home.
Then a week after the Premier League campaign ends, they travel to Paris to play Real Madrid in the Champions League final.
The odds are still stacked against Liverpool winning all four trophies but it’s certainly possible.
A Punter put £100 on a Liverpool quadruple in August. At the start of the season in August, an unnamed bettor placed £100 on Liverpool winning all four trophies at Betfair.
The returns? A crazy £367,200.
And following Liverpool’s FA Cup win and Man City’s draw with West Ham, they’re now being offered a cash-out of £22,000.

good question sparrow. # personally i'd take the £22k, because i don't think City will slip up but to have made that bet to begin with, he probably had £100 to throw away so could understand letting it ride and if he was that worried about City, then he would have taken the £32.4k previously

i haven't done the maths but £22k doesn't sound that bad an offer actually, considering the usual cash outs you get and that the 2 remaining legs are fairly unlikely to both come in. though they are capable of beating madrid.

With regards to both cups. Think Chelsea were the better side league cup. Thought we were slightly better FA Cup. Either way, Liverpool FC engraved on both!

I'd take the money and run. The £100 stake is irrelevant. The current stake is £22k. Liverpool are slightly too short for the league so the cash out looks fair value. Also worth bearing in mind that Madrid will have a much better prep for the UCL final

I'd let it run. I don't cash out. A £367,200 win is what we are in this game for. If someone is going to cash out in an 4 fold acca before it is completed, why didn't they just do a double or treble? I wouldn't be thinking about a £22,000 stake. I'd just think of it as the £100 stake that it is. And there have been plenty of times that I've lost £100 gambling, so losing that is no big deal.

It's not a match odds acca. All that is relevant now is would you put £22k on Liverpool doing the double. The double is 6*1.43*1.2*1.65 ... 16/1 returns £373,745. He's only winning £367,200. So surprisingly cashing out is actually the value play too.

I would be devastated if I cashed out and the bet came in. If your unsure about what to do, maybe ask if they would do 50% cash out for 11k. Then in the unlikely event the bet came in winning circa £180k would still feel good.

Say Liverpool were 6/1 for both cups 5/2 for the league and 9/1 for the CL. That "ONLY" comes to £171.5k before you start reducing the odds because they are assumed to be related.

surprised he is being offered that much, what's his thinking, sweat it out tonight and hope to nick a bit more, no virgil, salah and fabinho.
I'd be taking it and have done with it.

I don't believe the story. Unnamed punter, £367k liability on an acca... Unless he's £3m in the hole on the slots and cartoons I don't see how this bet got struck.

it's 10/1 in the outrights on sportsbook--> premier leaugue--> outrights--> multiple trophies --> liverpool multiple trophies. not sure where the 16/1 is, not that i want to do it anyway.

agree. in any case if you wanted to do the double now, you'd (presumably) just use the exchange prices and take the 9.0 for the premier league and roll it onto the 1.66 for the champions league after Sunday's games, were the unlikely to happen.

the story is true, it was tweeted by Betfair themselves, that would be some fraudulent marketing trick to make up all those figures for the sake of advertisement. He is a mug if he doesn't take the money and run for the hills, City will pump Villa at home about 4-5 nil, a team with nothing to play for, and Madrid is no gimmie in a one off game. The bet is in effect over and his dilly dallying over 22 grand, it can only be greed because logical thinking dictates you cash out be thankful you were offered that. I don't know however why he placed this with Betfair's sportsbook, they're on a par with bwin for worst value odds.

betfair found the owner of the bet, some dolly bird called Tanya, who is going to own up to being the user of this account in their wifes name? no chance she's come up with that 4-fold on her own

I'd take it too although if Tanya's husband is of a mind to hold onto it he might care to remember the fact that City are bottle jobs when the screw starts to tighten, they've had to mow the Bernabeu more often since the semi final....sh1te everywhere!!!

From guy on Twitter: City went to 26 in running (to win match). Liverpool went to 2.64 (to win match). Liverpool went as short as around 8/13 to win the league

Do we know what was the Punting outcome - Not the Footy - of all this Bet?
Did they -
'Cash-Out'- Part 'Cash-Out' - Let it ride .... or get absolutely plastered at the thought of what might have been - with 20 minutes to go.

Lost her £100 after refusing £95k cash out minutes earlier.https://talksport.com/sport/betting-tips/1115990/punter-cashout-premier-league-liverpool-quadruple-man-city/
which wouldve left her with 50k/125k best or worst case scenario
but probably peer pressure of all her giddy mates chantin 'let it ride' didnt make her think straight
shouldve cashed out at 95kthen whack 45k on liverpool outright for CLwhich wouldve left her with 50k/125k best or worst case scenariobut probably peer pressure of all her giddy mates chantin 'let it ride' didnt make her think straight
I suppose it's easy to say, in hindsight, the 95k was available when things were looking good for Liverpool.... but that is the point. Things WERE looking good for Lpool (even though it was still 1-1)... She must've thought that City had blown it and just praying for a Lpool goal... which DID look likely..... 5 minutes of madness changed everything in the City game

Hard to imagine turning down 22K or 95K .....bird in the hand and all that .....but each to their own.
When I had my little win last November I had won 5K part way through with a bumper jackpot if I got one more winner ...I was not offered any cash out ....but would have taken a respectable one.
