Crystal Palace v Leeds tonight 8pm

Thinking goals and Leeds...

on a form basis there is not much to choose between them Palce are 2.2.2 in last six where as Leeds are 3.1.2

Palace were going well until two recent defeats to leicester and Newcastle an d i think the FA Cup defeat may have impacted on them. Leeds have won their last two away games at Wolves and Watdord and seem to have got their act together under the new manager

Palace are 2.48 and leeds are 3.2 with the draw at  3.5.

Both teams could do with the points but particuarly leeds who are 4 points off the drop zone. Palace are prob one win from ensuring prem football next year which they will surely get at some stage.

So i cant really get an angle on this from a betting perspective but the draw at 3.5 prob looks the most likely outcome.

Maybe Slippy Blus can offer some insight on the game

It's a tricky tie to be confident about anything really. Palace on a going day such as against Arsenal not long ago should really be too strong going forward for Leeds to cope.
What does concerns me though is that against Newcastle, Palace were absolute gash but I'm banking on a full house tonight to inspire us to greater things and although a marked drift today the 2.46 was good enough for me to get involved in that.

On a sad note gentlemen I won't be at Selhurst tonight and gave my seats away to a mate as my dear Muttley suddenly passed away at home at the weekend and I'm not feeling too great about it right now. He was an absolute joy to behold, now in doggie heaven.
So I'll be watching at home chatting to you guys on here no doubt instead.

Think Palace are backable at 2.48 though they've come in a little to 2.44 now. Their home form is decent. A few days ago they were 2.16 and that did seem a little short, given latest results. I don't fancy Leeds here personally but stranger things have happened.

Yeah I agree with that, 2.16 didn't do it for me either but at the bigger price it seemed a reasonable punt.

i think the drift is to do with people seeing it as a must win game for leeds and backing them in. but must win doesn't always mean can/do win, so hopefully it does just mean a bit of value in the palace price

Sad news slippy, its a wrench to lose
a good friend. Mate lost his dog 3 months back
and he's still feeling it.



Palace fought back well v Newcastle. Gallagher got
cleaned out by Shelvey, got himself booked and looked
like getting sent off. I do think we've played half decent
so you were not that bad considering the downer of fa cup semi.

Chance to put it right v Leeds, who should also be up for it!

Sorry to hear about your well-loved Muttley, Slippy. I don't have  dog myself, but there are lots of dogs in my family, and they are terrific companions. So, I can well understand the level of affection that they inspire, and the sadness when they pass away.

yes, I often go for unders, slippy, but I put a few bob on 2-2 instead, because it looked like that sort of game. Never mind, small bet only, so, no great loss.

Desperate news about Muttley slippy. Know from your many comments on here how much he meant to you. As you have stated, at least he was just asleep. Hopefully that is some sort of relief.

Llorente Spanish international ? wtf was he thinking going to ground like a lunatic at the far extreme end of the penalty area when the Palace player wasn't in a dangerous position,very very lucky not to have cost us the game with a penalty there.
