the commentatators pundits dont add any realism they suggest the ladies over achieved they should explain how poor latvia and inexperienced they are and how it is totally unfair

Anyone see Kane in that stomach churning interview about whoever they were scoring loads of goals against Latvia, no idea of their names?"An amazing achievement", "magnificent performance....blah, blah, bloody blah."Do me a favour and pass the sick b

It is an embarrassment 1st but these people have no shame and are completely oblivious to the thought process of " the man in the street" who thinks winning 20 - 0 is a match that should never have happened in the first place. This sort of b.s. really gets on my nerves big time.

late 60,s early 70,s i used to play for boys brigade you could be in boys brigade at 18 no age limits,we had some very good players but most under 14 taking on teams aged 18 we used to get a good wacking some weeks i think 48 0 was the largest but a few in 30,s and plenty in 20 plus, worse than that our goalie used to get MOTM most weeks

A decent standard boys team against England women would be a fun watch ,the boys would win easily...but no way would a pub team beat the England ladies lol
You're right though ,the standard is terrrible ...it gets promoted probably because it's cheap to air .
another 10-0 today , Norway .A decent standard boys team against England women would be a fun watch ,the boys would win easily...but no way would a pub team beat the England ladies lol You're right though ,the standard is terrrible ...it gets promo
women would beat the pub team on fitness /stamina ,basic skill level imo... or there is no reason why they shouldn't in other words .
I'm not sure where the teams would level out ,maybe around the 10th tier ... or very good local sports clubs sides would beat them .
One of the problems women face at the moment are the lack of players generally but i also think there is a level they can reach and that is it really ...
In whatever sport you choose men are obviously going to come out top pro rata

i suppose it depends on the pub team ... women are at best 14 year old lads standard ... if elite lads , my money would be on them
would be good to watch but it will never happen

saw a girls team play a boys team in the park teh other day, was a proper match on full size pitch with ref etc.
the boys looked much smaller, must have been much younger

the other issue is that the boys wouldn't be allowed to play at their natural game , they would have to back off , and refrain from any half hefty challenges that may injure the women ,lest of all be accused of trying too hard against the ladies lol .
I think if the 14 year olds were allowed to play properly then it could be 10 or 15-0 quite easily .
Talking of pub players , ex club pros played Crystal Palace women a few years ago and the guys were walking around the pitch, maybe too lazy/unfit/not trying ,but they missed a shed full of chances winning only 1-0

I think you are way out. I've heard that male employees at Tony Bloom's firm Star Lizard played Brighton Ladies (then in The Championship) behind closed doors and hammered them.

ok so there is a bit of a gulf between Brighton Ladies and England women, but there would be a bigger gulf between Tony Bloom's employees and the 10th tier. Physically they couldn't compete.

If you are talking men in their 40s that weren't once pros I guess the women would probably win, but fit men in their 20s and 30s would destroy them. The women's technique would probably be better, but it wouldn't hold up under the strength and speed of the men. They'd just be knocked off the ball far too easily

yes Clydebank , the 10th tier would be way,way too good looking at the system ,not sure where i plucked 10th tier from ...i should have said local club sides ...whatever tier that is

Clydebank ,the ladies were no match against the mostly overweight ,sedentary middle aged pros ... the men should and would have won 5 or so to nil if they had been allowed ...

if women were able t play aginst men they would, we would see women playing to play semi pro
i think FIFA don't allow this but that is besides the point
if there were any women good enough to play in the conference there would be a campaign to change teh rule

I think its also the danger element too ... a bloke could cause serious injury to a woman and any full blooded challenges would be frowned upon ...
the game is quite physical in those lower leagues
