My team are in in a relegation fight and they need to start winning games.
We'll never be beating City, Liverpool or Chelsea at least not for a few years but we should be rolling over Norwich, Burnley, Southampton, Leeds, Watford, Palace, Wolves, Everton and Spurs at home and we shouldn't be losing to those teams too often away from home.
A win or two against Man United wouldn't look suspicious either
If only there was a way of ensuring my team got the rub of the green we might stay up!

How about invite some referees to come and ref some tournament games. Put them up in 6 star hotels and show them the highlife. Begin the relationship.
They did that in the sixties/seventies mate. It cost Leeds a Cup Winners cup final against AC Milan.

If you can’t afford a six star hotel then book them in for six nights at a one star hotel
... Barry Cryer is still with us.. We need to infiltrate his inner circle, gain their confidence. Only then can the mention of brown envelopes with 20k be mentioned... Philip Don would have been mission impossible btw.. (personal knowledge)

Disallowed a goal for offside and hope it isn't such an obvious mistake VAR doesn't over rule him.
Give a player the benefit of the doubt in a foul/card situation.
Ignore a penalty claim and hope VAR doesn't over rule him.
So small margins. And I think having the Ref on your side only helps if you are in with a shout in the first place.

Give a penalty for corner kick wrangling, send a player off for the inevitable foul and abusive language.
