enjoy it imo, because we all enjoy blood money one way or another whether we know it or not, whether we want to or not, and morals, ethics and values do not buy trophies, memories or top drawer players, life's too short - etc.

Our own country earns billions selling arms to the hand choppers who then have used them in Yemen, since 2001 in the middle east and Afghanistan we've been involved in nearly 400 thousand deaths of innocent civilians referred to in the trade as 'collateral damage'  where recently leaked documents highlighted the killing of children and torture of ordinary folk with attempted cover ups, then there was the commonwealth, Boer camp, 45tn from India n' all, slave trade, bearing the fruits of other's labour and suffering, and of course, Ireland, a place where land and people have been pilloried, starved and raped for all their worth over the centuries. Are we going to stop using all the resources the British government pours into the country knowing where some of it has come from and what they have done to others, no, the IRA, 7/7  and modern day immigration whether you like it or not, were consequences of British government policies.......Khashoggi was murdered, but David Kelly went for a nice walk one summer evening and took too many pills, an inquiry heard, OK.  That's the difference between the countries, we are more modern and sophisticated in alleged cover ups, bone saws are old skool.

Top clubs and competitions in Europe are part funded with sponsors such as Emirates Airlines, and Gazprom owned by Russia who's agents have a fondness for Salisbury when off duty, but we all enjoy the Champions League, some of the biggest clubs also have histories built off of the back of laundered wealth or immoral advantages, Madrid had a wealthy fascist ruler, Berlusconi wrote of tax bills for Milan etc. Who cares about Sportswashing knowing all this, pointless hypocrisy, fake outrage, if a filfy rich Arab took over Arsenal I'd wear one of those full blown white gown Thawbs they wear and a tea towel on my bonce in honour of the great man, it's either that or watching Xhaka every week.

Kind Regards

yes British government signed up to freedom of movement and allowed Commonwealth immigration

but the way it is phrased suggests immigration has something to do with (negative) British actions overseas

Life could be so much better if we all just shared the stuff around, everyone should have a computer, a phone etc, its basic stuff that's easy to make and should be easily shared. But there's no desire for that because the psychos wouldn't benefit from a loving society, they could still benefit from it being the irony but they prefer a spiteful type of energy so they give us it.

They are the biggest problem in society and are the cause of it all and have been for centuries but the masses prefer to get their current affairs spoon fed to them by these people. You even see some of them come out and tell you to vote Tory before an election! Think about that - vote for the party that will make me richer. And people still don't see through it, they actualy champion these people. Why are there no tax loopholes enacted for plebs? Beginning in 2015 the PIF began making a number of high-profile investments, including acquiring a 38% stake in South Korea's Posco Engineering & Construction Co. in July 2015[16] and establishing a sizable fund with French firms in October 2015. In June 2016, the PIF acquired an approximate 5% stake in Uber for $3.5 billion.

In 2016, SoftBank Group and the PIF announced that they would establish a SoftBank Vision Fund which aims to invest up to $45 billion over five years in the tech sector.[17] The SoftBank Group confirmed that during the fiscal year 2019–2020, the Vision Fund, in which Saudi Arabia invested $45 billion, incurred a loss calculated at $17.7 billion, after the value of investments was written down. The losses were related to the investments in WeWork and Uber Technologies Inc. In 39-year history of SoftBank, the Saudi Arabia-backed funds paid the group its worst ever losses, where the overall company losses were 1.36 trillion yen (more than $12.5 billion).[18]

In March 2016, it was announced that ownership of Saudi Aramco would be transferred to the PIF and that the Kingdom will seek to list 5 percent of Aramco's shares by 2017.[19]

On 20 May 2017, during the Saudi-US CEO Forum which was part of President Donald Trump's official trip to Saudi Arabia, the Public Investment Fund (PIF) announced plans to "invest $40 billion in infrastructure projects, mostly in the U.S." Saudi Arabia, which is "working to diversify its economy" entered into business deals with General Electric, Lockheed Martin, and The Blackstone Group. Blackstone, whose CEO and founder—Stephen A. Schwarzman—is a top supporter of Trump, entered into a non-binding memorandum by which the PIF committed $20 billion to the project.[20] During the CEO Forum US-Saudi, arms deals were announced including a pledge to "assemble 150 Lockheed Martin Black Hawk helicopters" in Saudi Arabia, representing 450 jobs in Saudi Arabia" as part of the "$6 billion deal for Black Hawks."[21]

PIF owns Qiddiyah,[22] spearheads the Red Sea project for luxury beach resorts,[23][24] and owns the closed joint-stock company named NEOM.[25][26] PIF owns a 5.7% stake (valued at $500 million) in concert distributor Live Nation.[27] In 2020, PIF purchased minority stakes in major U.S. companies including Boeing, Facebook and Citigroup.[28] PIF disclosed a $713.7 million stake in Boeing, around $522 million in Citigroup, a $522 million stake in Facebook, a $495.8 million stake in Disney and a $487.6 million stake in Bank of America. It also disclosed a small stake in Berkshire Hathaway.[29] PIF also disclosed an $827.7 million stake in oil company BP.[30] In 2020, PIF purchased a 2.32% stake (valued at $1.5 billion) in India's Jio Platforms,[31][32] and reduced its holdings in US stocks to $7 billion from $10.1 billion in the third quarter. It instead left a stake of $2.7 billion in Uber.[33]

In March 2019, it was revealed that PIF paid a New York communications firm, Karv Communications, $120,000-a-month in order to repair the Saudis diplomatic damaged reputation after the Assassination of Jamal Khashoggi.[34]

Norway’s Football Federation has comprehensively rejected a chance to boycott the Qatar World Cup.

An extraordinary general meeting of the NFF on Sunday, which lasted several hours, saw the federation hold off demands from some of Norway’s top clubs and a campaign by grassroot supporters to withdraw from next year’s tournament because of Qatar’s treatment of migrant workers.

Liverpool and the Saudis?

2009

Dubai: Prince Faisal Bin Fahd Bin Abdullah Al Saud has found an able business ally in Liverpool co-owner George Gillett after it emerged that the Saudi royal signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the American billionaire through his sports management company F6.

The deal will allow F6 to explore the possibilities of collaborative commercial opportunities with English Premier League giants Liverpool and Richard Petty Motorsport, another company owned by Gillett. And through the agreement F6 hopes to identify opportunities concerning football, Nascar racing, and other interactive media in Saudi Arabia and the Middle East North Africa (Mena) region.

Prince Faisal was thrilled that the deal will provide an enormous boost to his company and through a statement he said: "George Gillett is at the helm of some of the most powerful and celebrated sports brands in the world. F6 is energised about the strategic partnership with his groups and seeks to lead the way with our investment partners in identifying the brands, personalities, facilities, and media that will catalyse the evolution of sports experiences in the kingdom and beyond, introducing thousands of quality employment opportunities within Saudi Arabia."

Gillett, too, views the opportunity as one with "immense growth potential". "The Middle East sports market has immense growth potential as eager fans in the region demand access to more diverse and higher calibre competition. I am delighted, enthusiastic and honoured to have the opportunity to partner with such a visionary in His Highness Prince Faisal."

HRH Faisal bin Turki is part of a delegation visiting Anfield according to the official Twitter account of Saudi football club Al Nassr, where he is the president.

Members of the Saudi royal family will be guests tomorrow at the Liverpool vs Arsenal game, but any investment deal does not involve a stake in the football club but a link-up with club kit providers New Balance, reports the Liverpool Echo.

They'll probably even be a 39th game there one day.
