I was talking to a friend of mine , who was a talent scout up to a few years ago , and I asked if people still got appearance money ,hence why players coming on when the game was all but over. He told me of a club manager near Loftus road used to split the 1000 pounds appearance money 50/50, if he put them on late. Most people wouldn't be surprised if I printed his name ,but I believe he likes golf ,he has a lot of clubs.

It's time wasting also, the subs takes 2 mins and the ref adds 1 min

Those last 10 minutes usually involves about 6 minutes football and sometimes less.

Doubt that happens nowadays, none of them need a few extra quid any more. It's a time wasting and momentum killing tactic

Some players get more money, and right to
contract extension if they play a certain
number of games.

Some are on appearance, and others bonus

Those on bonus may not be bothered
coming on late if 4-0 down, leaving
it to somebody on appearance bonus.
