Mbappe was the star of the show. The difference maker that guy has the temperament of a middle aged man never seems to get too excited. Surely he has laid to rest the Mbappe vs Haaland debate. Haaland is a great goalscorer(a Shearer type) Mbappe is Thierry Henry with muscles and Drogba's ability to deliver on the big occassions

He is better than Henry was at the same age but no way he is better than prime Henry... yet. Bayern were very poor by their own standards, handed them 2 goals and his finish for the first goal was awful really and he got very lucky.
Prime Henry was all balletic elegance and speed. My fav EPL player bar none. I believe Wenger was the 1st to convert wideman into strikers and Henry was the glorious prototype.Easily the best of those type of players IMO. Having said all that was he the guy for the really big games? not sure he was. Mbappe may lack his grace but he is probably just as fast. He also has ice cold temparament prefect for the big matches

Henry had far far more technical ability and was more agile in smaller spaces. Mbappe is basically a battering ram, finishing ability not on the same level and have yet to see him score great free kick goals like Henry did. He runs fast and has a pop at goal and it looks good when it comes off. Same as Haaland, lots and lots of physical strength but when you're comparing players skill wise it's not even remote close, the likes of Brazilian Ronaldo, Henry, Messi, Ronaldinho, they're on a whole other plane. People see pace and power and start wetting themselves, that's not what a great footballer is.
Yes. Henry could do everything Mbappe can as a wide attacker and he was one of the best strikers in the central role on top of it all. Mbappe is great against defences that give him space in behind as a wide attacker but very limited against defences that don't. He might become one of the greats if he can deveop his game and move into a more central role where he can influence the game more. Strength? He doesn't look especially strong to me.

Not quite as pleasing on the eye as Henry but Wenger said he saw similarities between the two. Already he has got more ucl knockout goals than his great compatriot.
I'm a huge admirer of what he has achieved, what he is achieving, his potential and his ability to step up in the big matches...if that's alright with you lot

Henry wasted the best years of his career at Arsenal. Definitely should've move to Barcelona years earlier.
